  1. He will need to get a new contract first
  2. https://www.perthstjohnstonefc.co.uk/news/article/2014-scottish-cup-winners-anniversary-dinner "The 2014 Scottish Cup Winners’ Anniversary Dinner will take place on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Perth Concert Hall and will firmly shine the spotlight on the historic achievement – now one decade on. Tickets for the anniversary dinner are now on sale for a night where every member of the cup-winning squad has been invited along to reminisce and reflect on a special time together. Well-known presenter and Saints supporter Stuart Cosgrove will be taking on the duty of host for the evening. A fantastic three-course meal and entertainment – including interviews with some very familiar faces – will be on offer throughout the night as well as a raffle and auction. Tickets, priced at £100pp, can now be purchased from the McDiarmid Park ticket office. Tables of 10 on the night, but individual tickets can be bought. Call 01738 459090 (option one) or visit the ticket office in person (Monday to Friday, 10am-4pm) to secure your spot. A £50 deposit (pp) will initially be required."
  3. I did think that after I posted it but watching that video made it feel like it was yesterday!
  4. I still feel the rules are the major problem, the handball and offside decisions are ludicrous because the law is an ass. Until there is clarity on what is a handball and until we stop giving offside by a toenail the game is a goner with VAR.
  5. The defence offers exhibit A: Very important header won
  6. Looked like a great attendance. A lot of season ticket holds might just have lost friends though 😅
  7. When I saw him at Airdrie I didn't ever expect him to able to connect a header or shot, he has now bettered SPFL superstar Theo Bair in his time at Saints. Maybe he was rusty then but it's an astonishing turn around from someone who didn't look like they knew a knee from an elbow. I was very much wrong.
  8. BBC was raving about his shot stopping, you sound very harsh on him. Are you the David Marshall fan? 😂
  9. Will our approach be different if we start the game in 11th place tomorrow rather than where we are? A result for County tonight isn't so far fetched.
  10. Don't think you will be able to tempt him back from Orkney at the moment 😅
  11. Great to see a forum member now part of the media team at Saints 🤣 hopefully these two tremendous reporters will see us heading in the correct direction now. Brilliant work from the club.
  12. There are a few at Broxden so I presume the close proximity to the A9 is one of the things that keep them sustainable?
  13. I am fairly certain there was a Saints baseball jacket in the Bukta era.
  14. Detailed negotiations with Perth club owner, Geoff Brown, are progressing well – so much so that the Scottish Football Association has now been notified about the potential for foreign investment at McDiarmid Park. An agreement over a sale could even be reached before the end of the season. The US investor, who has a legal background, was a guest of Saints earlier this month and, along with an associate, attended the Premiership matches against Ross County and Hearts during a week-long stay in Scotland. Having been involved in talks for several months before then, he liked what he saw and discussions have advanced significantly since the trip. The number of parties interested in a takeover has run into double figures but no others have got anywhere near to this stage. Brown has previously admitted that the vast amount of prime site land at McDiarmid has proved to be problematic in terms of finding a suitable buyer. For any deal to get completed, legal guarantees would be put in place on that front. Saints will also be provided with proof of funding that underpins the bid and the future running of the club. It is understood the prospective buyer assessed the landscape in leagues across England and Europe before setting his sights on St Johnstone. A deal being completed over the next few months is looking increasingly possible, meaning Saints could be foreign-owned for the first time in their 140-year history.
  15. I am pedantic too, so you should have highlighted the original post not one half way through it 😉
  16. Yeah I have only just seen the goal and figured out which Scott Brown it was 🤣
  17. Just a few ex-Saintees in that one: Keith Watson James Brown Dylan Easton Zack Rudden Glen Middleton David Wotherspoon Tony Watt
  18. I can't imagine he will have reached a single payable add on?
  19. You need to be careful, people might take that as a positive post
  20. What is interesting with Bair is someone at Motherwell clearly saw something that no Saints fan saw on the pitch and the management team never saw in training, Motherwell couldn't have seen that? He was always praised for his work at training and being an incredible athlete. In interviews he has said that not playing enough for Saints was a huge issue and perhaps he wasn't getting the guidance: "it's the whole reason I came to Motherwell in the first place, the gaffer told me what he was going to do and and he's doing it so the least I could do is repay him with a couple goals, so I'm happy that I'm getting to do that as well." He has also mentioned working in depth with the video team at Motherwell. When all things are considered he was scouted by someone for Saints who saw potential. Motherwell have also done the same so the only thing it can point to was the management set up at the time of Davidson and Macca.
