I don't claim to know Mark but I have had some communication with him and read some of his views and I value his opinion. I disagree this time but that doesn't mean I have to call it a wind up. In fact I have seen some if his views on this that suggest the opposite.

I am going to be controversial. With hindsight and space since it all finished I have very little against Richie Brittain. My big problem is with Adams. It now looks to me like he created the whole situation. I am guessing Brittain did want to come in January but then for personal reasons, which most of us probably wouldn't have seen as insurmountable he changed his mind. He has then gone to his boss, Adams, for advice. He has then thought he was going to keep his captain, fur nothing, and get one over on a rival so tried to use the press in his favour.

Who are the favourites? North Stand or County?
