  1. I'll take a point and an ugly draw any day of the week, especially yesterday considering who the opposition were. That said, many on here, are almost saying our performance made their eyes bleed. Max scored, twice, which got us off the mark and the other bonus is that Dundee must have left Perth wondering how that happened. Quite why we didn't push the boat out, during the window, for a striker is a big issue, as historically, for quite a number of seasons, the barn door has been pretty safe. We can, surely, only get better!
  2. Phillips captain again, so no booking for him. May leads the line. Jephcott on the bench.
  3. So, that's our winger in from Charlton, and appears decent. Anyone else to come?
  4. Watched the Salford v Leeds game last night where Callum Hendry played around 70 minutes and worked his socks off. Gary Nevillle drooling over him for much of that time. Although they won, it went to penalty kicks, and our favourite, Ex Aberdonian, failed to convert his, after coming on as a sub.
  5. Anyone heard anything about how well the Austrian, Sven Sprangler, did in the friendly last night?
  6. John Connolly was shocking as our Manager but he is still a legend. I hope we don't forget that Davidson's time at Saints was not all bad. He just stayed too long when things became, so obviously, bad.
  7. He sounded like a doomed man on Sporrscene highlights last night.
  8. Did he retain the Captains armband when Gordon came on?
  9. Definitely Macca's team as he promised. Radical. Hopefully it works, but if it doesn't immediately then quite a strong bench.
  10. Best Saints player on the park against County and he was only on for 30 minutes, so I hope the rest of the team that played that day have learned a lesson from him, plus the big kick up the rectum from the Gaffer of course. Graham Carey indicating that there has been a great couple of weeks on the training ground with competition for places all over the place and perhaps we can just spring a wee surprise against Celtic. Hope that doesn't come back to bite him on the place the gaffer placed his right foot after the County game. Good luck to Taylor Steven at Alloa.
  11. Carter-Vickers is injured so that's a bonus!
  12. BS, I asked the question as I didn't know if there was an international break or not. Too lazy to research for myself! 😑
  13. With Macca saying some senior players can leave, and the fact they will get little game time, is a pretty clear indication that he is making it his team, so it will either go pear shaped, or we will finish the season mid table. Whether some senior players are bothered, or just happy to take the money every week is another matter!
  14. I had forgotten we had him for the season.
  15. Is he away during an international break or will we be scrabbling around to find cover what with Ross recovering from surgery?
  16. In another world, perhaps Macca might possibly have kept him on, in the short term, on a pay per game basis, but he wasn't getting selected towards the end anyway. A midfield coaching role might have been the answer but it's all relevant now.
  17. https://onefootball.com/editorial/38080272?language=en At least we haven't done this yet. Maybe not so mighty but look how far they have fallen!!
  18. Hence the reason he is at Bradford City and not Manchester City! Well actually there are other reasons he is not there, but you know what I am saying.
  19. Mark Hughes is a pussycat! I can't believe that!
  20. Just to lighten the mood a bit. https://www.perthstjohnstonefc.co.uk/news/article/three-academy-graduates-sign-professional-deals
