    Dear Tommy

Dear Tommy. Thank you for Rosenborg. Thank you for Luzern. Thank you for our first ever trophy. Thank you for our third top six under your management. Love Ali
  2. Obviously the answer is Eve Muirhead. Unless players count and then wee Chris Millar would be a clear winner.

    Dear Tommy

Absolutely embarrassing way to talk about our most successful ever manager by some on here. Whether you think his time is up or not, try and show a wee bit of loyalty and respect to one of our greatest ever figures thanks.
  4. He wasn't being average for a side who think 9th in the Championship though. He was a stand out for them by all accounts. Agree with your general point though.

    Dear Tommy

We beat Aberdeen and Dundee United, two of the traditional big six to win the cup. We weren't just given it because Hibs (Hibs for Christ sake) and Hearts weren't in the league. The 'transitional spell' for Aberdeen saw them win their first cup in 25 years and only he pipped at the post for second by that Motherwell side who were on a complete decline btw. Of course budget helps win you cups and improves your league position, but it's an alarming level of self depreciation to want to play down your only cup win in your history. Hibs and Rangers were both in that cup with substantially bigger budgets than ours by the way. Can you imagine a Man United fan sat saying 'yeah, we've won 13 titles or whatever in the last 25 years, but it doesn't really count because Liverpool aren't as good as they once were,' which is essentially the point you are making here.

    Dear Tommy

Why were Hearts and Hibs in the lower leagues? Because they weren't good enough. To suggest a Hibernian side that we have finished above year upon year on an equal footing (being very kind considering their budget dwarfs ours) being relegated contributed to our success in any way is completely without foundation. Basically what you're saying is football is based solely on budget and size of club and any smaller team being successful doesn't count because the bigger teams should finish above them. Mental.

    Dear Tommy

Conpletely irrelevant to the point I was making, won't read again.

    Dear Tommy

It's completely disrespectful to our achievements to suggest they are tainted because Hibs and Hearts were struggling and Motherwell were in a slump. We had a better team than them all and our achievements were all on our own merits. Whatever your thoughts on where we are at the minute, to belittle our achievements to back up your point is ridiculous.
  9. Just to clarify on this Rangers in the top league stuff, Even if Saints had voted against their arrival you'd have given up supporting them had other teams let them in? I understand the anger if that had happened, but it would have been nowhere near enough to stop me supporting Saints.
  10. Went for Mannus, a number of fine saves and although he was shaky with cross balls occasionally, I'd much rather he starts trying to command his box like he was trying to yesterday. Conceding far too many from set pieces so even if now and again he misjudges a cross that leads to a goal, I still think that's a better option than staying on his line.
  11. Untouchable legend for me. Probably our biggest of all time and I imagine the history books will show him as such.
  12. Always get really sentimental about that beautiful man when we play Aberdeen. Definition of the word legend.
  13. To be fair, loan deals are about development as well as a platform to play competitive football. Having Dumbarton fans not bothered about you leaving suggests he's some way off Saints level.
  14. 2 adults and 2 kids at Mcdiarmid for £30. 2 adults and 2 kids at Pittodrie for £62. Double the price for a family day out.
  15. Apology accepted. It's a dog eat dog world and you've won the popularity contest, no hard feelings. d***.
  16. I'm going. Early train through from Edinburgh. Mannus Darnell Krachunov Joe Scobbie Spoony Midge Lappin Swanson Macca Cummins 0-1 the Saintees.
  17. What the **** does IS and World Wars have to do with someone shouting a racist remark by the way? Incredible tangent and that sort of apologist behaviour is the reason right wing nut jobs can spout their hatred.
  18. To be fair, that comment was mostly in jest and in reply to an absurd remark about Tommy being disgraceful for replying to you. Your comments, while maybe fair, were unneeded, Tommy will be well aware of the situation we are currently in. We're all passionate Saints fans here and you are well within your rights to vent your frustrations, as am I to suggest that it was an unhelpful rant to make at that time. It's not a big issue and there are certainly more negative and concerning supporters out there than you.
  19. I never said you made the comment. Someone made the comment, it was behind me and as I said I didn't know who made it. I hope whoever said it is ashamed of themself though.
  20. Boys, this is the 21st century, suggesting that all blacks look the same is racist. Where is the amusement in that comment? I'm seriously struggling to find the humour.
  21. And the manager has every right to comment back.
  22. The issue I have is someone having a go at our manager for shouting back, it was well deserved.
  23. I didn't know who it was that had said it or I would have said something at the time. I don't think it's something that should be swept under the carpet, absolutely disgraceful comment. Eta - And not everybody likes conflict, just because somebody doesn't say something at the game doesn't stop them having the right to comment on it once they're home.
