  1. Absolutely gutted I can't be at Hampden - moved to Tasmania in January, if I had the money for the flights i'd be there in a flash. Will be glued to Setanta to watch the game at 10pm my time Good luck saints, let's get right intae them MON THE SAINTS
  2. I'm calling my first child Martin if its a boy, or Martina if its a girl.....thats how much I love the guy! Seeing a player show as much passion on the pitch as we do in the stands instantly makes him one of us, the fact that he is mental and a quality player too sends him straight to ultimate hero status. Hopefully he will be with us long enough to become a face on St.Johnstone coffee mugs of the future!

    Election

I did say that most politicians are the same, nicola sturgeon would probably go under the 'face surrounded by a daft haircut liar' category, rather than the 'greetin faced liar' category. Fair point about the SNP celebrities, it is a problem throughout politics - however I've yet to see a Labour broadcast this campaign without a celebrity either in it or doing the voice-over. I dont see the world through SNP glasses, to be honest if there was a chance of them getting in I would vote for the greens. I just believe that an SNP victory in this election will be the best result for Scotland.
  4. I'm so nervous/excited i've been pretty grumpy the day, just want it to be tomorrow. I'm going to get no sleep the night unless i indulge in a few bevvies. Feels like i'm age 6 on christmas eve again!
  5. Hard to beat tigerbread but on a similar level of tastiness are Fresh rasps, Oliphant's pies, Cafe La ronda coleslaw (both linlithgow specials), Seabrook Canadian Ham crisps, good minestrone soup, haribo giant strawbs, Lindt extra creamy chocolate.........i could go on forever

    Election

SNP for me. Like bluesinf said, the labour campaign has just been purely to try and scare people about independence, without providing anything to back it up. Been hilarious watching the 'Scottish' Sun finally showing its true colours as it realised that there was actually a possibility of independence. Rupert Murdoch saw a gap in the market for a tabloid with nationalist leanings, but as soon as there was any danger of independence the slimy Australian b*****d pulled the strings for his usual 180 degree journalistic turnaround. Wendy Alexander sums up everything that is wrong with politics, she is a greetin faced, rhetorically evasive liar (as most of them are i know) but she really believes in her own twisted logic (I nearly put the remote thru the tv watching her on question time!) It saddens me to notice that in this campaign (particularly Labour's) that Scottish politics is being Americanised with celebrities everywhere and propaganda being spouted about the oppositions downfalls, rather than parties own manifestos. Classic quote from Blair yesterday, "When Jack McConnell wakes up in the morning he thinks about education, but when Alex Salmond wakes up, he thinks about separation." Classic simple American syle political rhetoric which attempts to portray Salmond as some kind of monster who wants independence, no matter the costs. I'm not saying that the SNP will be miracle workers, most political parties are the same once in power, but independence (or until then a first minister who wont jump every time Westminster asks) is the best path available for Scotland. Unfortunately, i think we'll be stuck with another lib dem/labour coalition
