  1. never mind loads of goals, A 1-0 scoreline come 5pm will do me nicely
  2. Javi Navarro on Arango a few years back, totally sickening, the guy is an animal, as anyone watching Sevilla's game at White Hart Lane recently might have noticed. He only got a 5 game ban too!
  3. I Think we should have 2 leagues of 16, then a league of 10 propping that up, the third league should have an automatic relegation with a playoff between the regional leagues for entry. (ie. Highland league, East of Scotland etc...) Although this has been said a million times before
  4. its about time, proves you cant run a club without a genuine fanbase, having lived there for over 10 years, i know the vast majority of fans support either the OF or Hearts/Hibs and have livi as a 2nd club, because they're convenient, there's very few "Die Hards" among them that'll stick with the club through thick and thin. The only thing livi have on their side is that the town is still growing and growing and future generations may support the club Gretna are in an even worse position in my book, due to them not even having a town with any pretend supporters!
  5. another great view, better quality too http://www.as.com/videos/?xref=20070419dasdasftb_2.Ves&pagina=1
  6. Jackie McNamara is the latest name to be thrown in the hat, apparently Pearse Flynn is "sounding him out" as his contract is up at wolves. having had bad experiences with the totally untried Lambert and Gough... will they never learn?
  7. here's hoping that the players are feeling less nerves than me today
  8. C'MON YOU SAINTS!!!! I'll be cheering you from my pc at work!
  9. My gut feeling is that we'll take it to the last game at hamilton but injuries and tired legs will take their toll, we'll leave there with a draw. I think that gretna's bottle may have gone and clyde can steal something from them today but i just have a feeling we're all going to be bitterly disappointed, I'd rather lose the league on points than goal difference, that would be too much Hope I'm wrong though!!!! (and since im working all day today and cant make it) 'MON THE SAINTS!!!!
  10. Queens view on a sunny day, or applecross, you cant beat it If your looking for great wee places to visit, try www.undiscoveredscotland.com (yes, i work in tourism!)
  11. And you shout "Man On!" instead of "he's Behind You!!!" at the football coming to think about it, football's a bit of a panto! I openly admit to booing nakamura while taking a corner but it was nothing racist in the slightest, just a bit of banter and attempting to put him off!
  12. Anybody heading through from the capital with a spare seat? pm me if so! Cheers!
  13. I spotted the Jason Scotland Banner but there was nobody booing it, I actually thought it was a nice touch, proving all OF fans aren't mindless idiots
  14. Not one with bells on, but i do have a slightly large head!! LAUGH OUT LOUD
  15. I wouldnt expect problems from edinburgh to be honest, im getting a train about 9ish to get through early though
  16. it'll be litre bottles of Bru with a touch of vodka then
  17. to be fair, i think a replay wouldnt be the worst thing in the world, i mean, against hibs, i said pre match that had it gone to extra time we'd struggle with tired legs and we did, at least this way we get to recharge the batteries a wee bit first
  18. But all the celtic fans are watching Ireland and Rangers fans watching Engerland at this point so there's never a problem!!! We all know how friendly the TA are so there's no need to bother policing it!
  19. So is there a decision on a nominated saints pub then? and if so what one? (and where is it!)
  20. I just found my very tall blue and white hat, which i got for the last cup final!
  21. I think if we survive the first 20 mins we could sneak something, although i feel we'll probably have to score, Its going to be a case of hitting them on the break and im ever so slightly worried that Davie Weir's age and lack of mobility might be shown up, they'll be aiming to get free kicks inside 30 yards and we're going to have to make sure that doesn't happen, I really wish we'd have thrown in someone like Russell Anderson earlier in the campaign, perhaps against the faroes. if we'd been able to bed him in alongside Mcmanus/Caldwell/anyone under 30! i'd have been a bit more hopeful but I feel Weir's past his best and at some point we're going to have to bite the bullet and make changes to our ageing defence because even if we do qualify, by that stage Weir will be 39/40! Alexander will be 37 and Pressley will be 35!
  22. The funniest moment i have seen as a saints fan was actually about 5-6 years ago, my younger brother was a mascot in a home game against dundee, cant remember the date but it doesnt matter anyway, the players had just finished their last wee kick about before kick-off and the mascots were running off the park, when JP McBride goes to kick his ball towards the dugout from the east stand touchline, it flies through the air beautifully and scuds the other wee mascot in the back of the head about 5 yards from the Main Stand byeline who takes a Jurgen Klinnsmann-esque fall accross the turf!!.... what makes it even more amusing is i have this full thing on video somewhere! my old man was standing at the tunnel and caught it all, you can see JP put his hands up to his mouth as soon as he kicks it, obviously able to tell what was about to happen, and as the wee man hits the floor, he starts rubbing the back of his head in embarrassment at knocking over a 5 year old!
  23. I prob wont be able to be there until 6.30ish but i'll come down for a bit, i agree we should make the gretna game our first game too, there'll be loads of interest for that one!
  24. We could possibly have a couple of stops, maybe even arrange a pickup point at newbridge or something to suit all fans in the central belt?
