  1. This is dire, It's a long time since I've seen us so outclassed. I cannae watch much more of this. We've got absolutely nothing about us. Nothing in reserve defence - liable to collapse at any time. Lucky escape there......
  2. Ok, here we go again. One Christian O'Connor - WHO ?? - Has decided to go for maximum publicity for his programme "Calling Christian -WHO?" on Absolute Radio. Maybe somebody can fill me where in the UK Absolute Radio is B-cast from? Anyway he's decided to be 'Offended' by an off the cuff David Jason joke about Pakistani's. This joke was prevalent in most schools in Scotland in the late 60's -70's when most of us hadn't even seen a pakistani person. It's the old Mahatma Coat joke concerning a pakistani cloakroom attendant. Actually I think it was Indian in the 60's. Was everybody who cracked or laughed at the joke in the 60's deeply racist urr what. Honestly you daren't open your mouth in the UK nowadays. Cue the media tomorrow.
  3. Aye bring back Dansette's **ck ipods
  4. Aye it was that. I first went at the age o'three, I'm told. Just went tae see the Pipers at hauf time after that, that was until I became interested in what was happening on the park either side o' the Pipe Band.
  5. Well done the Irish team.......................I suppose.
  6. It's still in our own hands. Would be happier if we were free scoring as has been the case for about the last four or five promotees from this Div. (The Clyde match was an exception).
  7. What was the pitch like today anybody? According to reports the pitch at Clyde (Wednesday) was in good nick and we played some excellent stuff. If we can only play well on good pitches and ours isn't......
  8. Ok but when are we gonna start scoring. Forget about the Clyde mid-week result, everybody is knockin them in against them. It's been obvious for some time that even with a squad overborne with supposed strikers we have, for the past few months, one of the worst strike rates in the Division. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
  9. Reality check kicks in today. Livvi have been scoring 'for fun' for months. While Partick have been winning their games, we've been drawing (and not scoring).
  10. A very astute observation indeed! Does it even sound as if we're capable of getting a goal.
  11. What bothers me is that apart from us not appearing particularly impressive since we moved to top spot - is that for the past 6 or so seasons the team that has been in the position we are in now have started to play confidently, scoring freely each week, and moving confidently away from the pack. We, on the other hand, are stuttering and misfiring playing players out of position (the left back situation would be laughable were it not proving so costly in midfield) I mean we moved to top spot playing quite impressive, to feet, on the ground, football now.... reading many many posts on here we are simply lofting the ball into the box. I join those expecting 'pelters' from the 'minority' on this forum who see nothing wrong with our current system of play.
  12. Livi scoring for fun these days. Right - unfortunately I'm away to work.
  13. Well - maybe in the second half we'll buck trends?
  14. Vicious circle springs to mind. I had a mortgage in the UK in the days of 15%. You didn't think of spending money by credit card then. How do you stop people spending what they can't afford nowadays? Trillions, I believe, is what is owed in the UK.
  15. Nah! the young Neds nowadays are as good as wimmin' at multi-taskin'
  16. Looking at some of the posts on here, mine included. It's not so much about PMQ being suspended. It's more about did we really need to know. Do we have to know everything that happens in every region in the UK each and everyday. What used to be local area news is now reported by major agencies who make it available 24 hrs x 7 days a week to each an every corner of the UK. Browse telextext (if you need an instant depression fix)you get the drift it's the same catalogue of murders, accidents, shootings, knifings etc. each and every day. Luckily we don't get newspapers in this area of the world so I don't even have to consider whether to buy one or not. The media thrive on our perceived need to have an opinion on everything nowadays. I can't see it ever changing back - I suppose the answer is - just don't bother going looking for it
  17. Too much information. That's the problem. In the old 20th Century days of steam wireless we would just have listened to the news, noted that PMQ was suspended and then went about our daily business. Now you are blugeoned to death with it every time you switch on an electronic device. And you even have the opportunity of opening a thread on a football forum to convey to even more people that PMQ did not go ahead today. Did I care back then - No - Do I care now. No. It's really nothing to do with me. In fact what am I doing posting in this thread......
  18. 'Hoover up' being the operative words. Doomsday scenario. ... this will encourage them to cream off even more of the decent players still remaining in provincial SPL teams. Promising them games, albeit for the first couple of years in the 3rd div. But players will see themselves as part of the OF, AND, getting games each week instead of sitting on the bench, or not being considered for the first team. And as they are promoted and move up and into the 1st div. it will be even easier for them to wave chequebooks and acquire players. That's when the problems start when the OF are 1st and 2nd in the 1st Div and also in the SPL. The 1st Div becomes a pointless league, for everyone else as they will only be able to achieve 3rd place. I just think that this will reduce the quality of player available to provincial clubs. Apart from that - I think it's a good idea.
  19. Depends how well we do in the SPL. You'll be able to judge for yourself depending on how many miserable, or great, weekends you have. The way we came down the last time was perhaps the worst ever. We didn't even put up a fight - we were so far out of it, it was embarrasing. Wasn't even a close run thing we were so many points behind the team above... not a nice time. In the SPL you'll only ever be somewhere behind the OF. However the SFL 1st Div doesn't mean much to anyone outside Scotland either.
  20. No me squire I have no agenda regarding any of the two Dundee teams. In fact it's St Mirren, mainly because of their deluded fans (who are the most obnoxious fans on any forum) that I have no time for. And they still love to have everyone believe that Alan Main threw that game just to spite them.
  21. What fighting is this then... What unit of what army do Celtic represent. I thought they were a Scottish football club.
  22. I just wrote a two page hypothesis detailing in depth why some people were not quite satisfied with our current postion and how we arrived there. (in answer tae the original question). But when I posted it I was told I wasn't logged in - so it wiz lost. So I canne be arsed either.
  23. Not a question of changing tactics just varying your options. Of course if we have now reached the stage where we've only got one option...
