  1. Clarke Foster - Kerr - Gordon - Easton MOH - Craig - Kennedy - Swanson Kane - Hendry (assuming Watt is indeed injured)
  2. Yes I absolutely agree we should give him until the end of the season and play him as much as possible. For me it's commercial, we have an expensive asset and as yet the return on investment is not proven. If he can get 12 game's worth of time under his belt and is still poor, then it's time to cut the losses. I would dearly love to be wrong. MOH, on much less game time, has to me shown some evidence that there's still a player in there and he's coming back from a hamstring. I'm not even sure that if he starts all the games between now and the end of the season that will be enough to form a view, but I'll be happy just to see the standard of performance continue to improve.
  3. Current captain : Zander or Craig Future captain : Liam Gordon Across the back line the most vocal seems to be Foster, and normally for the wrong reasons. Would be good to see if Kerr can step up but get the impression that he's been in Joe's shaddow.
  4. Thanks. That's a lot of time for Danny to not be showing any real signs of improvement IMO (admittedly with a lot of late subs).
  5. I have no doubt I'll be proved wrong within minutes, but it seems to me that Danny has had a lot more game time than MOH this year, and every single time I've seen him play I've been disappointed (wasn't at the Hibs game but I think that's the only one). And as has been shown elsewhere he seems to be some sort of bad ju-ju. (joking, obviously). MOH on the other hand seems to be slowly getting better each game. The players that seem to be most contentious among fans lately have been Danny (think he's had enough time but willing to give him till the end of the season as I want to be proved wrong), Tony Watt (still think he's too good to let go), Murray (sorry, but surely he's done), Wotherspoon (liability) and Joe (I'm with the opinion that we should be starting Liam Gordon). Midfield for will continue to be hellish until we get a baller in the middle.
  6. I agree with you 100% DT. I generally think that in this part of the Saints universe most posters are of the same mind on all these points.
  7. I was loving it. Say what you like about Tony Watt, but he is a very hard man to take posession from. Genuine baller. I wonder if we can re-purpose him as a midfielder? He doesn't seem to want to be the penalty box striker Tommy wants him to be, or we need him to be, but he has so many good attributes it just seems a shame to waste them. Maybe he would flourish with less pressure to rattle the goals in as he doesn't seem to have the temperament or like the pressure. Oh and at no point did we switch to a back 4. Certainly not deliberately anyway.
  8. Good stuff, thanks. Apparently relatives have already been informed that I'll be watching so they'll have to work around my requirements. Not gone down well.
  9. Deeply pissed off that I can't make .. anyone know if it's available on Saints TV as I'll be .. eh .. abroad somewhere.
  10. Maybe Tommy has been using the break to try something radically different? Not as if it was working before. Big test for Kane and heavily reliant on the wing backs and Davidson. Which is a worry.

  12. Watt, McCann, Alston If Joe stays in the team I can't see Gordon breaking through and I think he has the potential to be a better player and worth more than Joe.
  13. Visit here and P&B most days. Prefer here TBH, for Random's reasons and also can't be arsed with FB or Twitter. Like the fact you can usually have a proper discussion.
  14. Mostly under cover. Was at a game a couple of winters ago when then snow was the same. The issue will be waterlogging and the car park. It's half an inch at least deep here.
  15. I went Hibs but it's really pretty open. Quite exciting for a change, but given where we were in January it shouldn't be as exciting as it is. Hopefully a half decent crowd tomorrow although the weather is looking grim.
  16. That's the last of the 4 games and on the same day Hibs have a local derby which I have a feeling they won't win, so maybe by that stage a point will do. Very much agree on the Motherwell issue too but the fact that it's a 6-pointer and maybe a reshuffled team might get some fire in the belly. As before, Motherwell beat Hibs this weekend and we beat Midden and it's all to play for again. I don't buy the Motherwell renaissance - Turnbull has been fantastic all season but there's nothing else in that team for us to worry about. On paper at least. "One game at a time, sweet jesus ..." Tabla does a better curry, IMHO, or the Everest. I'm hoping that the Motherwell or the Kilmarnock game will be last chance saloon, but the next 3 games are absolute must-wins unless there's some dramatic results for our top 6 rivals.
  17. Certainly everyone's suggesting different teams to the one that Tommy will put out, that's for sure. I get what you're saying about Matty and don't really disagree, I think that if we lose on Saturday I'd be more comfortable though. While we still have a sniff at the top 6 I think we have to play our best player. I'm afraid that I see Wotherspoon as very much a liability and not a safe choice. He's been simply dreadful recently. One thing I've noticed is that we're struggling to get any chemistry between full-backs and wingers, there seems to be no combination that works. However I do think that he best of a bad lot is Kennedy in front of Tanser. In that situation I'd prefer to see MOH in front of Ricky Foster, although admittedly that could leave us very exposed down that side. Maybe it is time for Joe to move to RB and bring Gordon back, as some have suggested.
  18. Spoony ahead of Kennedy? What's the thinking there?
  19. It would only guarantee 7th, Hibs would have to get 8 points from their games which you could see them doing. Equally though, their results have been much better than the performances and I can certainly see them dropping points. 3 points for us and Motherwell this weekend and it really is game on. Let's hope 'Well have one more performance in them before they crash and burn.
  20. I see the merit in the impact sub option, but he's our best player, and he tracks back to cover the full-back, and also Tommy's not one for making substitutions before minute 75. We're good enough, or should be, to have the game wrapped up by then. By all means hook him and bring on Swanson if he's on the wing or Watt otherwise. We can't afford to have him on the bench from the start IMO. St Midden will be absolutley up for this and we need to start fast and hard, which hasn't been our defining feature lately.
  21. Need to ring the changes and drop the non-performers (where we don't have better or cover at all). Clarke Foster - Kerr - Gordon - Tanser MOH - Callachan - Craig - Alston Kennedy Kane No chance at all though.
  22. # Club W D L Goals +/- Pts 1 Celtic 8 7 1 0 18:2 16 22 2 Motherwell FC 8 6 1 1 13:6 7 19 3 Rangers 8 5 2 1 22:5 17 17 4 Hibernian FC 8 4 1 3 13:10 3 13 5 Aberdeen FC 8 3 3 2 11:9 2 12 6 Heart of Midl. 8 3 2 3 9:8 1 11 7 Dundee FC 8 2 2 4 9:15 -6 8 8 Livingston FC 8 2 1 5 5:11 -6 7 9 Hamilton Acad. 8 2 1 5 5:18 -13 7 10 Kilmarnock FC 7 1 3 3 5:7 -2 6 11 St. Mirren 7 1 2 4 6:16 -10 5 12 St. Johnstone 8 1 1 6 4:13 -9 4 Form table since the winter break. But let's not over-react eh? I'm not calling for Tommy's head but I do want him to, frankly, sort it out. And every team gets injuries.
  23. Where to start? Bell - a disaster we were all warned about. Even at 2-1 down with time in the game, he's holding on to the ball, refusing to throw and dropping the ball to is feet only to pass it out to Joe or Scott who immeditely hoof it over the midfield to nobody, or out the park. Wotherspoon - utter and absolute liability. It is disgraceful that man is on the park and that's all on Tommy. None so blind as those that refuse to see. We don't have strikers that cannot score. I'll wait for the replay but it looked to me that Tony had a chance on an open goal from point-blank. Can't be too hard on him to be fair as at least he got in a position and he should never, in any team, be a player that's benched for Chris Kane. Murray Davidson looks like he's given up. And Tanser, just ****ing hell. He has one idea and he can't even do that. I can't be bothered to go on. That was utterly abject. A team that looks like it just couldn't care less. ****ing criminal. Let's be clear here. Livingston are a poor football team. They are not a team we should be losing to, under any circumstances, but especially not in that way. Time for Tommy to earn his contract extension and get a rocket up this rabble. We'll need 12 points as a minimum for top 6. Aye right.
