  1. Bit of a disappointment is our Nige, aye he likes to run at players which is good to see but he runs and runs and runs, often fails to make a key pass and instead tries some tricks then either trips up or runs right into the defender and loses the ball. Had to laugh when he said he saw Saints as a stepping stone to the Championship, aye in yer dreams wee man.
  2. I doubt it will ever happen as long as there is the slight chance it could lead to violence. I imagine the idea has been looked at, especially considering the money making possibilities. There would be breweries lining up to make their beer the official SPL beer. If it did happen, you know they'd be serving up pints like you get at music venues, like watered down carling and fosters at ridiculous prices. If it were left down to clubs though, wouldn't mind seeing Saints take on Inveralmond brewery
  3. I've noticed the high school have been hiring out their new facilities. The surface is a 3rd generation hybrid, don't know if this is much better than what's at McDiarmid? I passed a few nights ago and it was really busy with football teams, can't imagine they'd charge a lot seeing as it was mostly kids there that night.
  4. Wouldn't say no, but we don't stand a chance in getting him. Isn't he training with Rangers until he gets a club in England? think he was on Sky Sports the other week looking for a bottom half Championship club or at least League 1.
  5. I've heard quite a few folk saying it shouldn't be allowed to open and I just don't get them, Perth folk do my head in sometimes. If they're not moaning about the lack of businesses and the empty shops in town then they're moaning about the businesses that do want to bring jobs to Perth. We should be happy that a major hotel chain wants to open up in the town centre, not only because of the jobs it will bring but it could help us attract more folk to the concert hall, I'm sure there are plenty of folk who don't make the journey to Perth because of the lack of a cheap familiar hotel nearby. The likes of the royal george etc aren't for everyone so I think it's a good thing
  6. Wait...so according to the courier, the future of our club lies with the sale of one of our stands? how the **** did we get ourselves in this position?
  7. Yeah jog on Andy, stop wasting my time.
  8. Hahaha! I don't even know if you're being serious or not it's that bad an offer. Keep dreaming Andy
  9. Aye a wee bit random for here, but it is indeed a nice mic. I've used it on lead vocals, acoustic guitar, electric guitar and even drum overheads, it's pretty versatile but it's main strong points are vocals first and guitar second. It does a great job of picking up those mid frequencies that sometimes get lost in a mix. Only selling because 1. I have another one sitting here, and 2. I've just bought a shiny new PRS guitar and could do with selling this to help lighten the cost of the guitar.
  10. How many Indian restaurants does Perth need to have? but suppose at the end of the day if a business wants to start up in Perth and give folk jobs then it's no a bad thing.
  11. Selling a Blue Baby Bottle condenser microphone, comes with pop shield, shock mount and wooden case. All original packaging included as well. Only used a few times and in mint condition. Looking for £250, anyone interested?
  12. Often switch between Manzil and Odesi for an Indian, used to get Aladdin's years ago but felt the quality of their food went downhill, was a while back mind. Yummy Yummy or the Hong Kong for a Chinese. Yummy Yummy do amazing chips as well, Chicken Satay on top of their chips is amazing!
  13. Apparently HMV is closing and River Island is moving (don't know where) and H&M is moving into it's place.
  14. I doubt his contract contains a clause to give him a pay rise if/when he plays, if that was the case I doubt we would have brought him on against Cowdenbeath when we were safely through. I'd send him out on loan for the rest of the season and not renew his contract, he's had his chance to get match fit and hasn't shown any reason to keep him when he has made it onto the pitch. If he really wanted to impress then he'd be bursting a lung to do his best when he gets the chance. Not to forget we'll be wasting thousands of pounds over the next five months for someone who could very possibly fail to play 45 minutes of football, never mind a full match.
  15. I get the feeling if the manager position was ever up for grabs in the future, that he'd be one of the applicants. Remember how he considered taking on the role when McInnes left but then decided to keep on playing. Young managers see Saints as a good stepping stone to a job down in England after Coyle and McInnes, probably what attracted Lomas to the job.
  16. I would want him back next season to have a proper look at him, the last time he was given a proper chance in his preffered position was how long ago? maybe 2 years? since then he's been out on loan and scored close to 30 goals. He needs to be given a chance playing in his preferred role with the current squad because we don't have a clue how he'd link up with the likes of Tade, Beattie, McLean or Vine. He was what 18? when he scored those 2 goals against Hamilton, I would imagine in those important couple of years that he's learned a lot and improved as a striker. I seem to remember the question being asked before he went out on loan was, can he score goals? he answered that question. Now the question being asked is at what level is he? He's not setting the heather alight in the 1st division but he is still finding the back of the net, I think it's 5 this season. Only a couple of goals off top 5 scorers in the league, and he's still doing that at a club sitting 3rd bottom. It would be silly to let him go without giving him a proper chance to prove himself after 2 seasons out on loan improving his game.
  17. It would be career suicide, he's making a name for himself, gaining attention from England and breaking into the national squad in the SPL, so why drop down 2 divisions and probably lose any chance playing in the national squad for at least another 3 years? You can be sure that Rangers would want to tie him down to a lengthy contract as well which would stop any clubs down south come sniffing for years to come, they would no doubt value him highly once he's theirs and no club down south will want to risk spending big money on a player playing the Scottish lower leagues. It just wouldn't make sense, unless he's a big Rangers fan of course.
  18. Cheers man, just seen the car park at the leisure centre and I see the supermarket as well, thank for that. Plenty of parking for all
  19. My first time going to central park, does anyone know how big their car park is? looked on google maps and see a wee car park but a lot of waste ground around the ground, just wondering if that's used for parking on match days as well?
  20. I wouldn't know Lark, it's a fair point to make as there are probably some stadiums which do have poor viewing but I can't think many of those I listed which have a poor view of the pitch. It still makes our prices look ridiculous though, look at the level of competition on offer and the quality of football compared to ours. I respect your opinion Ghostie but look around the country, it shows that people like you who don't consider value for money when thinking about spending £20-30 or maybe even more on a football match, are obviously in the minority. People ARE spending their money but just not at football matches, they can make that money for a ticket or tickets stretch much further than 90mins on a Saturday afternooon. I am almost certain that if there were a survey done in town or across the country and if value was an option for people to select as a reason for not attending football, you would be surprised at how many people would select that option. I've been a member on here for several years and I know you and many on here are part of what I would refer to as the die hard element of Saints fans, so it doesn't surprise me that you would attend Saints games no matter what. To say if you take value for your money into account before attending a football match, that you are not a true fan is downright ridiculous and insulting. You say if we set value for money as a criteria for being a football fan then nobody would go...next time you're in McDiarmid Park or any away ground, take a look around and think about how many people are missing and ask yourself why?
  21. The only way we're going to get much bigger crowds is if we cut the price of admission by at least £10, and I don't mean for the odd game here and there. The thing is nobody in the league can afford to do this due to the costs of running a club, especially paying players wages. So realistically if clubs want to see more fans attending games then there is going to have to be some of sort of national salary cap. As much as it annoys me to say it, going to the football these days we don't get value for our money. Paying over £20 to watch teams that can't go past the first round of qualifying in European competition. Take a look at the English Premiership. At Newcastle United, you can get into St James' Park, buy a programme, pie and bovril for the same price it costs us to get into our main stand. Their cheapest ticket is £15!! Then you can also go to see Aston Villa, Fulham and Wigan for less than what we pay to get into McDiarmid Park, all £20 each for admission with their cheapest ticket. It's even worse reading when you look at the Championship, Birmingham - £21 Blackburn Rovers - £15 Bolton Wanderers - £22 Burnley - £22 Charlton - £20 Crystal Palace - £20 Huddersfield - £10 Hull - £20 Leeds United - £20 Leicester City - £15 Nottingham Forest - £20 It just isn't acceptable, the amount of money SPL clubs charge for supporters to get in the ground, our food is even more expensive than some Premiership and certainly a lot more than at most Championship grounds. We're being ripped off and the attendances at every ground around the country only goes to show that we, the public are totally aware of it.
  22. I would imagine the same is happening throughout the country in all grounds. I haven't been to a game since about September, I just simply can't afford to be spending that much money for 90 minutes of entertainment every 2nd weekend.
  23. Hey guys, I made a wallpaper for myself and a couple of mates for our iPhones, thought I'd share in case anyone liked and was looking for something to throw on their phones. iPhone 4 http://imageshack.us...iphone4wp1.jpg/ iPhone 5 http://imageshack.us...iphone5wp1.jpg/
  24. Jeezo, the SFA should step in, this is ridiculous. 3 strikes and the fixture should be moved here or at least a neutral ground where the pitch is playable.
  25. First I've heard about it and I'm on facebook several times a day, it's the kind of thing you'd expect to see people sharing on facebook but haven't even seen that. Great idea by the club, just a shame about the lack of advertising.
