  1. So you cannot see any other POSSIBLE reason that a school would be organising a trip to Parkhead except to promote sectarianism? Perhaps a day out? To think that the basic idea for a school organising a trip to parkhead would be simply sectarianism is quite frankly disgusting.
  2. Your missing the point here, to simply suggest that because a school, that is catholic, is organising a trip to parkhead is promoting sectarianism is ridiculous. And Celtic would not lose their support if they CONTINUED to distance themselves from sectarianism, thats just about as much shi* that was said in the first place. Has there been anything in the news about a School organising a trip to ibrox? no, because nobody cares, its only when it becomes an issue that relates to catholocism that everyone suddenly feels they have to throw their 2 cents worth of mindless nonsense into the ring.
  3. That is absolute bullsh**. They are talking about promoting moving AWAY from sectarianism, perhaps by showing the pupils what is being done at parkhead to combat sectarianism. As far as i knew, everyone here was a non believer in sectarianism, as much as it may be alive and kicking, and did not associate football and religion hand in hand. It would appear there are still some like Radford out there who simply cant see past this, as soon as someone mentions one side of the sectarian divide and football (as usual, its the catholics who get the slandering) then it is decided they are actively promoting sectarianism. Schools organise class trips all the time, especially to football venues as it is something that the pupils WILL actually be interested in for a change, ina venue they might actually listen to wat is being said to them. Some schools organise trips to the Neu Camp if they travel abroad, does that mean suddenly they are promoting basque seperatism and the ideas of ETA? I Do NOT think so. The fact that a local Catholic School wants to visit parkhead (Which would seem to be the logical choice as many of them will be Celtic fans ALREADY for whatever reason that mey be - who waits until they are in secondary school to pick a football team to follow, purely based on one class trip??) should not be an excuse for someone to throw "Inciting sectarinaism" into the ring. Thats just simply a ridiculous comment, but i dont want you to delete it, becasue i would like everyone to see how narrowminded you are to throw out a knee jerk reaction to such an issue. Perhaps Saints could OFFER these schools the chance to have a trip to the ground, instead of waiting for the phone to ring as a way to entice more local people to football matches.
  4. The Cribs - Mirror kissers Went to see them in Edinburgh last week and they were awesome.
  5. RYAN GIGGS Good god, the single most over-rated player in the Enlgish premiership by far. Now i'll wait and hear the "Oh but hes a legend" rubbish that everyone starts as soon as you dare mutter words against the useless git. When was the last time he actually did ANYTHING on a football pitch? Think about it, befroe you start recollecting his goal against Arsenal in the semis of the cup...that was in 1999... And another thing to look at, for those who think he is still a good player, just simply watch the next Man U game and count how many times he receives the ball and actually manages to return it to someone on his own team. I can almost guarantee that at least 50% of the time he will surrender posession or put the ball out of play. He will then, of course, do the "Thats not my fault, im going to turn round and blame someone else" face he is so very good at these days. Serisouly, before you start with the "hes awsome" rubbish, just actually watch him play, it'll be a bit of an eye opener. Another one, Diouf, is basically a hot headed mink and was never worth £11m

    Rix

Im not surprised the hearts fans are slightly disgruntled by the guy, i mean the names getting floated around like Ranieri, Robson, Scala etc then suddenly up pops Rix, last job being at Oxford of all places to be handed the job at Tynecastle. That would be like asking Tommy Burns to manage Saints then opting for, oh i dunno, some turd like Sandy Clark instead. As for the sex offender bit, well its not exactly gonna help the guy make any friends in gorgie is it... Apparently he is thinking of dropping Steven Pressley..... as he isnt a fan of big hairy fannies..... Heard a nice little ditty being sung to the tune of a Manic Street Preachers song the other week... "If you tolerate RIX, then your children will be next..."
