  1. Do they not have a cell at Pitlochry station though? That boy that broke the window of the Breadalbane Hotel was a total bell-end. They said that he was a different character when sober, but they also said that he'd done something similar before and was paying for a £2.5k window at a fiver a week or something. A night in the cells and a boot up the hole the first time then the jail the second time for the little pr1ck.
  2. is that the remake, or te Dickie Attenborough one? Not that I've seen either of them, right enough. I watched that "Away Days" recently - about the Liverpool casuals - thinking it'd be another Football Factory or ID or something. But no, it was utter utter shite.
  3. Is it just a case of name & address in an envelope with the subs into the wee box next to the bar? i.e. Hold on to current membership card until new one issued?
  4. What's the story with the high concentration of Rangers supporters and the "True Blue" large Rangers badge behind the bar at this St Johnstone Supporter's Club? I also note along Barossa St itself a number of Rangers and British Bulldog style stickers stuck to walls and lamp-posts, which may be a co-incidence. Is this really a Saints club, or a front for a Rangers club?
  5. Thanks mate. It turns out I've got the kids that weekend now so can't go along after all.
  6. Watched the two parts of "Mesrine" over the past couple of nights. Subtitled job about France's most notorious gangster from the 60's & 70's. Superb watch.
  7. apparently another stabbing in the city centre today. two girls, by all accounts. one in hospital and the other lifted.
  8. Person. Because by distancing yourself and ringfencing a certain group of society you are (even subconciously) being prejudiced. And whatever that prejudice is based on will be what you are then labelled - race:racist, sex:sexist. However the paradox of this is that if someone labels you racist, or sexist, or homophobe, etc. then they themselves are being prejudiced. If someone is a prick though, by all means label them a prick!
  9. spotted large white puddings in Morrisons yesterday. was buying Howie's black pudding at the time so the white puddings may have been Howie's as well.
  10. I would be up for this and can probably shift three or four tickets minimum. Any tickets left? PM me if so. Thanks.
  11. One on corner of George St/Charlotte St that used to be the Snooty Fox many moons ago. The other one is on Atholl St that has been many incarnations of pub over the years (Atholl Arms, Highlander, Whitelaws..can anyone name any more names it had?).
  12. £12 a night?!? That's cheaper (much cheaper) than living in and running a house!
  13. Programme seller might be a decent idea. One day or so a fortnight and a ticket to the game? Thing is, with changes to employment laws etc., I don't know if it's even legal to give someone at 13 a job. For some reason it was 13 you could get a paper round; don't know why!
  14. Can you still get a paper round at 13 these days? My laddie turns 13 in Jan and it'd be good for him to learn the value of money if he's earning a bit himself.
  15. Not sure about a Tuesday, but there's apparently a lunchtime on in the Sandeman on a Wednesday. That Bar has a quiz on a Wednesday night and Brennans has one on a Thursday night. One thing that pisses me off about them though is students with their iPhones looking up the answers!
  16. I know in years past Saints have offered a cut price season ticket for the rest of the season from Christmas / New Year. After having worked most Saturdays for years, I now no longer work weekends so was thinking of getting a family one to take my boys (5 & 8) to a number of games to get them interested in a club. My youngest one attends the p1 football training on the astroturf on a Saturday morning but that's finished now til February, so going to a few games would be something to do on a Saturday.
  17. Ginger: PM'd you my email address for a form. Unsure if I know any members (although undoubtedly I will!), so is proposing & seconding memberships a problem?
  18. I lived in the Bungalow between the scaffy hut and the polis station in the 80's and 90's.
  19. I mind Ronaldos used to give you a plastic membership card, so when you phoned an order you just gave your membership number and there was nae pissing about with mis-heard addresses and need for return phone numbers!

    The Loft

Upstairs in Brennans (used to be The Windsor) is starting a late night club night on weekends - "The Late Lounge" I think it's going to be called. John Buchan who used to have the Plough Inn has had Brennans for a good number of years now and I think he's noticed the gap in the market for >25's at the weekend. Saying that, it still means that The Loft is pretty much your only choice for a late drink on a weeknight. Bring back Wednesdays at Mucky Mulligans when you got a live band and a late(ish) bevvy!
  21. It was maybe Chelsea fans in disguise.
