So Croft, who's Oldham team were losing 1-0 deep into injury time, races after the ball to take a throw in when the Blades ball boy kicks the ball away instead of meekly handing it over. Croft says he asked him what he was doing right in front of the home fans. Oldham equalise and Croft goes to the young lad to shake his hand after the game ends. The lad refuses and is said to be visibly upset by the event. Strangely it is reported that the lad could not actually recall what Croft had said!!!! The Blades FAns nearest the incident said Croft had racially abused the lad and being upstanding citizens thought it best to report it. If I was racially abused I am pretty sure that I would have an idea what the comment was. Just saying.

Absolutely. Cannot blame anyone for being ambitious. Young football managers, like SL, want to go as high as they can like anyone in their own working life. Lomas played at a fairly high level and naturally would want to progress in the same direction now he is in management.

Watched it last night here in Darkest South Yorkshire and I was well impressed with the programme. Both Dave and Craig Gordon came across well and Saints were mentioned at length frequently. Dave talks a good game and is respectful of his adversaries, and former colleagues, at other clubs he played for and also those he has played against. Rob MacLean never seemed to tire of speaking to both about Saints.

He would have gone to Ninewells if the club doctor and physio could not reverse the dislocation. The orthopods there are amongst the best in Scotland. Hopefully it will be a simple dislocation and not a fracture which would complicate things.
