I thought they would maybe come up - i put something up on their website - they were staying up at the City Mills. Pete Shelley said we could put "The Kasbah as endorsed by The Buzzcocks" on our posters He put up a post on their site yesterday saying he had a great time 8) Muzz - next one hoping to be beginning of September(2nd)

Legendary night at The Kasbah last night....over 100 people having it mega LARGE and finished off with The Buzzcocks coming up for their after gig blow out....pity I couldn't have got them to play a couple of songs. Well strange seeing Pete Shelley up dancing to his own songs...not that he was getting much choice though I'm feckin well chuffed

Just play CD's these days as you can make up compilations and they are so easy to carry about. In the Vinyl DJ'ing days my arms scraped the ground after lugging rakes and rakes of Vinyl around for 1 song at a time. I have around 1000 Vinyl LP's and 2000 7" & 12" singles and they take up way too much room....at my folks hoose ....so I better no even ask what yer selling.

So....... apart from Saint Kev is anyone coming ...........?????? Seems to be a lot of talking the talk about good sounds but no many walking the walk COUNTRY GIRL TAKE MY HAND......... COUNTRY GIRL GOT TO KEEP ON KEEPING ON !!!!

I'd say Teenage Fan Club in general are one of the finest bands I've heard. Perth City Hall gig last year was one of the best I've ever been too. And Victor you've never claimed your Kasbah CD from the Supergroup Competition.

A couple of absolute MONSTER tunes that are out just now Suzie by Boy Kill Boy (anyone heard this ? ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT) Country Girl - Primal Scream hope to have both of them along with all the old classics like I Am The Resurrection , Love Will tear Us Apart , Police & Thieves................ there's not a better night anywhere near for this kind of stuff

Naw being an aulder dude they are just way too noisy for me - but the point I want to make is that thats good really coz when I was young dude getting into The Clash and The Sex Pistols there's no way most young people were getting it never mind aulder folk - I'm always wondering why I still like a lot of new bands that yoiunger folk like but maybe Indie/Punk has its limits and I'll always like stuff from that zone whereas the more "metallic" music is just noise to me but then it nearly always was. Am I making sense ? getting back to Muse though - altho they're deffo not for me I saw them on TV from a couple of festivals and I can see why they're well liked as they seemed to give it the big one live still...they're just no The Clash are they in fact they're no fit to string The Clash's guitars

...and if your in the tube station and 2 geezers come up to you and flash red badges at you - DON'T tell them you don't want to buy their badges - they're Railway Polis for the fare dodgers

"Freakscene" was a (Banana Club/The Jolt )club classic but was never mad about their other stuff..enjoy tho' dudes NB let me know if the 7" black plastic Freakscene is worth a million quid and I'd maybe sell it

I thought for wee spells we played some great stuff today and had we won by about 3 then Hamilton could have had no complaints. Didn't really see their goal as I was blethering to "Dave Mc" but Mensings was an absolute stoatir in the "its no...its no...its no...it is YESSSSSSSSSS" category. Cant see why Owen's goal was chalked off but maybe the highlights tomorrow will prove it one way or another and Ruti definitely looked lucky to stay on the park but again it was the other side of the park so not entirely sure what he actually did. Still - looking good for next season with a couple of signings
