  1. There are a few 'in yer face' posters on this forum and also P&B but everyone knows them and I think most other people are fairly level headed and sensible - what, as the man says, have we got to be smug about. We haven't won anything yet. So no - we are not.

Well what ever you are you are giving people the impression that you are jealous of their status. They've worked their way up to one of the best jobs in the RAF so good luck to 'em. Wonder why you are so bitter. I'm afraid it's the perks of the job and it's been like it as far back as I can remember when as a young boy at Horsham St Faith, just outside Norwich, in the late 50's I used to watch a 3 x Hawker Hunter formation team 'The Blue Diamonds' and the pilots had the same 'Aura' about them as todays jockeys. (Blame Jo Public they adore them) Only difference now is that some of the pilots are female, I assume they come into the Cock Jock's category as well. Without wanting to bore everyone on the Forum. Maybe some of them will remember the Black Arrows, 9 x Hunters. (Brawdy?) Yellow Canaries 9 x Folland Gnats (RAF Valley - FCMPC). Before they became the Red Arrows and converted to Hawks. Whilst there's no way I would ever have considered joining today's Air Force - the 70's and 80's were great with the variety of aeroplanes and postings and I hate to say it we were truly a 3rd Service in those days instead of the mish-mash of out-sourced private companies that the Air Force is today. But it's hardly the pilots fault.

Coming from a 'Soup Jockey' or disaffected Squaddie that's rich. And is it rumour/heresay - Maybe you'd prefer the Officer's mess was populated by quality personnel from the 'Big Brother House'. I can't get smilies by the way...
  4. On the ball as usual Dunc - I gather we are not under water then...
  5. Wishful thinking by the West Coast ...... media again. I'm amazed that because somebody on Radio Clyde thinks it's a good idea that they have managed to convince all Motherwell fans and half of Scotland that this is now fact. Jeez - look a the hype that's been generated on here... Oh! the power of manipulation.
  6. Well let us hope that if they do adopt this policy they get their 'just deserts' and don't somehow get bailed out or manage come up smelling of roses out of whatever mire they get themselves into. All too often clubs that pursue an irresponsible financial policy seem to manage to avoid the penalties in the end.
  7. A knowledgeable football manager who was trying to make it seem that his team overcame an awsome force and were therefore magnificent in victory. Neither of which was true.
  8. The question is deliberately worded to be ambiguous but... I read it to mean - Change it to something else - Yes or No. It really doesn't matter 'coz it's too late and no amount of posting and voting on this site will have any effect on what we now have. So IMHO - buy it or don't bother...
  9. Let them get on wi' it then MS it's probably the same ones moaning on the three threads anyway. Considering some of the strips we've had over the last 10 years these are 'well tailor'd' compared to some of the recent ones that looked like sacks.
  10. Wires x'd here I think. For a start I am talking about people who insist that they are SUPPORTERS of the moneybags, L'pewl, Man U, Chelsea, Arse'l. Also I thought your leanings might have been towards Tranmere. I still can't see why people insist that they are 'Supporters' of these teams. There are certain big teams that I favour and look for their results but, as for supporting them...
  11. Aye but it's much, much, much, easier to offer your allegiance to a team that wins something every year. I mean talk about 'glory hunters'. It really interests me as to why some people choose to 'SAY' that they support one team or another [usually 'BIG' Hitters] when they actually purport to be Saints (NOT Saintees ugh!!) supporters.
  12. It's Obstruction, but it is now fashionable to ignore it. How can you have a ball under control when it's 6ft away. No offence Mainstand.
  13. Cup Final (Hampden) against Celtic might have been 1969/70 or 71 - Oh the mists of time. Celtic caught us cold (again) and scored in 3mins. They went on to win by that single goal. Despite, once again us giving them one helluva match.
  14. Wonderful write-up on Teletext but it's the usual scenario, doesn't matter how well the underdogs play, the ref takes the pressure off the OF team at the first possible opportunity, it seems. (I stand to be corrected if the pen was fully deserved.)
  15. So, once again, from what I gather, a dodgy pen. has won it for them. Can anyone tell me why ref's in Scotland 'fall over themselves' to award the OF dodgy penalties and NEVER apply the element of doubt to the advantage of the 'underdogs'. I await to hear what the majority of our fans who were at the match have to say about the decision. Cheers - bye for now.
  16. I'm stuck here out in the middle of the atlantic and BFPS TV have not taken the game. Unbelievably after screening Saints earlier legs. So I'm going off teletext. Which is slow Saints were 1-0 down for 15 minutes before I saw that they'd equalised. Was it a Penalty ?? Or was it a dodgy decision? Can anyone keep me updated.
  17. Either way - No it wouldn't have.
  18. Tch!! And here's me thinking you were a Saints fan. LAUGH OUT LOUD
  19. Och... Away and 'PC' somewhere else. He stuck his head over the parapet thereby inviting ridicule. Nobody mentioned his Race, Ethnicity or Religion - Is there not always somebody wanting to make a big political issue nowadays.
  20. Slightly off topic but 'Standby for a lot of use of the name 'Saintees' as the usual suspects take the 'P' on Pie and Bovril. Has anyone else noticed how they tend to use that particular name when we've had a bad day and they are trying to wind us up??
  21. Don't agree that we need "major surgery" but we do obviously need to tweak a few areas. You surely don't want to start again from scratch when this has been the most successful season we have had since we came down from the SPL.
  22. What a mess... Only we could so dramatically, finally, and conclusively hand the 1st to Gretna - what a flaming mess. Nothing like taking it to the last day - and this is nothing like taking it to the last day.
