  1. Nothing as anyone can register and then edit a Wiki page. It'll be someone at the capers...
  2. Please, please, please... This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to get it right for Scottish football for the long term. - Change the voting rights to 9-3 at least (thus taking away the OF's voting advantage) - Change the allocation of sponsorship and TV money to be equitable amongst all of the clubs (thus taking away this avenue of financial advantage currently enjoyed by the OF - they take 66% of the money now remember) - Newco at best to start in the 3rd Division Please - if this can be done??? For the good of football. The current arrangement has wrecked it so far so go for equality and get Scottish football properly back on its feet
  3. Agreed - the SFA and SPL have been outed and in fact the game at the highest level is in terminal decline with honesty and integrity being rarer than a Hibs Scottish Cup success. It would appear that few have the balls to do what's required to address these issues - one single authority (SPL/SFA/SFL - what's all that about?), total fairness throughout the leagues including the divying up of SKY money equally amounst all league members and summer football. Scottish football needs to find its own level and I have to say that's not far off League of Ireland and the English 1st Division downwards. RIP indeed...
  4. Maybe because Websters a class act and ando isnt...?
  5. Shocking comment - no need. Obvioulsy no knowledge of this player or youths in general. Hang your head in shame Vieri...
  6. A step forward but far from the answer. The way, the only real way, to develop youngsters is to have them mix it competitively with adults on a weekly basis. The U20 league will not achieve that. We should have a reserve league with say a minimum of 6 U21's having to start the game and 3 out of 5 subs U21 also. The games must be played on a Friday or midweek on at least junior pitches or preferabley the home teams stadium pitch Look at the players who have come through the ranks not only in Scotland but elsewhere - they mostly have been pitched in with adults playing competitivley. There are many many examples of talented youngsters lost to the game because they couldn't get the break - the OF being the clearest example. Crystal ball time - in a years or two's time we will still be moaning about this. Not rocket science - but too much politics and self interest.
  7. I've watched Goodwillie and Russell to name two current outstanding forwards at the same stage of their careers playing for Forfar and Raith and neither showed as much promise in the lower divisions as Stevie is currently showing for Alloa. So the 3rd maybe too low a division for him - but hey - who cares really as thats not the point. He's only 19 and all i'm seeing is that he's doing well and long may it continue. He's getting game time and that can only be a benefit to him and the Saints. The supporters should show some positivity with regards to the team. Some of the numpties on this forum sound as if they actually want the players to fail.
  8. Saints are really fortunate in having someone of the class of Enks. It would be interesting to see his goals against ratio c/w any other Salints keeper in the modern era. Like any good keeper he makes the difficult save look easy and as a result doesnt get the credit he deserves. Other keepers make the easy saves look spectacular and get credit for doing so. Class act and long may he be at McD.
  9. I wonder about some of the people here. Yes you - what a crap statement. Try taking your medication more often...
  10. Like Goodwillie and Miller stories not going to happen - just paper talk.
  11. Sheridan flatters to decieve. Not the answer and not as good as the posters here think.
  12. A very true statement. The number of shut outs last season is the statistical proof. Seldom needs to make good saves - just consistantly good keeper and better than anything the Club has had for many a season....
  13. Love your dry sense of humour...you are being funny arn't you?
  14. That was at a time when United were very very poor and could not afford to sign players. I watched Utd many times in that period. I don't like being critical of players but...
  15. Obviously limited intellegence...you should practice reading more.
  16. Good post. Savo started his footballing career asa Dundee youth player and played for their 1st team before moving on. This is his job and what he earns is what puts bread on the table - the same as for most of the rest of us. So he's signed for Dundee so what. When he was with Saints he did his best, was released and went to Ross County. He's now moved to Dundee and lives only several miles away from Dundee. Can't see the big deal myself. Got to be a record for childish posts tho.
  17. Appears to be doing really well - he's played 5 full games and 2 sub with 5 clean sheets and only 2 conceded plus a man of the match. Its a pity that there is no proper reserve league to allow the 19 - 21's develop by playing football competitively every week with grown men instead of warming benches. No wonder Scottish football struggles to bring through talent. The gap between U19 and 1st team is too big -especially when managers are fighting for results to avoid the drop or get through in the cup etc etc...
  18. Agreed - good and accurate comments. Saints probably never fielded their strongest team once this season at U19 and in the last few months there were only a small number of U19's with the rest made up of U18/17's whilst the U19's were warming the bench or on loan. Remarkable achievement for all concerned to get into the top 6. Well done!
  19. He is bang on the age limit for the U19's (1993). Unless there is an even younger Caddis at the Club...
  20. Good to see Neil Duffy saving a penalty and the getting man of the match yesterday for Forfar. He's started the last 4 games and according to my mate he's playing really well.
  21. Looks as if its a get together to look at the kids for next seasons U19's - almost all of the players are a year younger than our 1992 U19's. Cads is 1993.
  22. And another thing. Any chance of getting decent coverage of the youth teams on the OS? Obvioulsy the set up is working and it would be good to let the fans be aware of the talent coming through and their progress. Current coverage is poor to say the least.
  23. Probably the poorest and least accurate write up I have seen. Who do they think they are kidding writing such drivel? The pitch - which wasn't that bad was the same for both sides, Saints also like to get the ball on the ground, Saints keeper Duffy saved the penalty, they got players sent off for their own fault and nobody elses etc etc... I though United U19's excuse for getting humped last week was bad enough (playing a VERY young side - no younger than the Saints players btw) but this takes the biscuit. Even at this age group the Celtic philosophy of the world is against them is alive and well. What cr*p! What's the point of putting rubbish like that on their www? Rant over.
