  1. Decisions are made in football for what is best for the team at that particular time. These haunting things happen in football. Wotherspoon and O'Halloran both were part of the Celtic youth team and combined to score our equaliser on Wednesday night. So do not get yourself worked up over what might happen what is done is done.
  2. I am going hope to see a good performance on the park and in the stand by the Saintee choir and band (ole ole ole)
  3. Wright or wrong, come what May, Saintees will win the day
  4. Capacity crowd, Saintees end full, Arabs end full and empty spaces where the freebees and corporate hospitality punters could not be bothered turning up, but took a ticket.
  5. Loving it. Should be a weight of both of them knowing their futures before the cup final
  6. Did quick calculation May and Easton tied first then Mannus and Davidson tied third with Hasslebaink fifth same players different Order.
  7. Thanks I now understand how the tables are compiled. You are quite right a televised game or home game will generate more votes. However after all votes are cast there is only one winner no matter how many votes are registered. Silly question as it is man of the match and not men of the match why not give one point to the winner that day. When I played we would ask the opposition to pick a man of the match and the player with the most MOTM was player of the year.
  8. I love geeks. Can you tell me how the scoring works. It looks very imbalanced. Nigel makes 56 points in one match. Wotherspoon gets 62 points in one match and May 83 in the semi. I take it in this system of scoring you can play 4 games and get the majority of votes eg 62 which would give you a total of 248 and be a clear second in the table.
  9. What about Wotherspoon he was best right back on the park last night
  10. It is a sign of the times that we have to wait until the last minute to re sign players. As all are still unsigned by us or any other club, I presume that they are not as sought after as their agents would have us believe. First and foremost we have to balance the books, therefore I see the high earners who cannot be replaced by existing players or under 20s leaving. The problem Nigel has is he has fallen down the pecking order and I cannot see him staying if he is not a first team regular. I see Croft being in the same situation, both their reactions when taken off is one of disgust and disbelief. The player I would offer a new improved contract to is O'Halloran he has impressed since he came into the team. He has only 1 year left on his contract. My main reason for this comment is if he gets an offer he cannot refuse, we would get a fee rather than have him sign a pre-contract with someone else at Christmas.
  11. my maths say 1,202,757 - 1,116,884 = £85,873 not £83,116

  13. Thoroughly enjoyed the game. Hit the post in the first couple of minutes then dominated first half. Not sure about May and penalties, I would have let O'Halloran hit as he won it, also he scored a penalty at Wembley in the playoffs, shows he has the bottle. Unlucky not to go in leading by more. Lost our way at the start of the second half and feared the worst. What a come back? Special mention to the Saintee Choir and band the boys did good.
  14. I totally agree. Only one I could find with the lyrics
  15. Just leaving for the game. I cannot see Lennon playing to many fringe players. He has gone on record as saying he wants 100 points, to achieve this, he has to win his last two games. I think he could be bluffing about the number of squad players he will be playing.

  17. For me there can be only one Maradona Goal V England 1986
  18. Would like see O'Halloran on the right so much better there. Or would that be giving a hint to about Cup final team as TW has been experimenting with May left and O'Halloran on the right be it for only 20 mins or so in a couple of games. Worked for second goal in semi final
  19. Many times in this country has the league been won on goal difference but is this fair. As seen yesterday teams playing the weakest team on the last day an unfair advantage Hamilton 10 v 2 Morton. I agree with Spanish football and it should be decided on head to head, points, goal difference, goals scored and if still equal bring in results against the third team keep going until you have a winner. Dundee 0v0 Hamilton Hamilton 3v0 Dundee If Points equal Hamilton win on Head to Head Still the excitement and nerves if Dundee draw or lose
  20. Game live on BT sport, this and the thought of injuries may influence TW decision on team and formation. I would be surprised if uses cup final formation tactics and team when it will visible to all who are watching. I would rest as many key players as possible and give fringe players 90mins.
  21. I can see the thought behind you wanting to send him out on loan next season. But I am of the opinion of keeping him with us. He is a natural replacement for Iwelumo and cover for May and McLean. Yes he may not be getting regular football but it will bed him into the team
  22. Missed the game because I had to work, so will not be casting my vote. Nigel must have had an outstanding 10 mins to get a vote for MOTH. How TW can let let him go if he is this good and how can TW not play him in the final? Or do you wear Nigel tinted glasses? (remembered to put smiley this time when being a jester)
