  1. BBC by far. ITV is clearly the worst, it lost points today for the simple fact that when turning on the TV wanting to watch the Aston Villa game I was treated to another repeat of The Steamie, despite the fact that their website said the game would be shown.
  2. Hamilton played well today, if they continue to play like that (and get terrible decisions like that going their way) they will stay up. Looks ominous for ICT at the moment.
  3. I saw someone get chucked out for swearing at a player at a Hull City game (he missed a penalty) back when they were in the Third Division. Never seen that happen in Scotland.
  4. I haven't watched ICT, Falkirk or St Mirren much this season, so I'm just judging this on a handful of games, but I watched the Aberdeen - St Mirren game a few weeks ago at Pittodrie and I don't think St Mirren had a single shot on target, they were being outplayed by an awful Aberdeen side and were just trying to defend the entire time. I know thats only one game, but thinking back to every time I've seen St Mirren in the last year (about four or five games) they have been terrible, a lot worse than the worse I've ever seen Falkirk or ICT. Like I say, only judging this on a handful of games, but St Mirren are either playing well when I'm not watching or they are getting lucky. I still maintain that they will go down.
  5. McDiarmid Park is awful for it, but I don't think England is any better than Scotland. It's just certain grounds in Scotland where there is a problem (McDiarmid, Tannadice and Pittodrie being the worst in my opinion). Most stadiums in Scotland have no problem with fans standing up though, Ibrox, Parkhead, Tynecastle, Falkirk etc have no problem with fans standing up and singing. Tannadice is probably the worst overall but Pittodrie is terrible for away fans (other than the Old Firm ofcourse who get special treatment) though the Pittodrie stewards have no problem with home fans standing up.
  6. Alan Carr. Apparently being overtly gay and talking about his cock is hillarious to young teenage girls.
  7. Hamilton and Inverness seem to be going through a bad patch of results but when I've seen them they have played quite well, certainly better than St Mirren. I can't believe St Mirren have had so many good results lately as when I saw them I honestly couldn't believe it was SPL football I was watching, they were worse than any First Division team I've seen this season. I think St Mirren are getting lucky at the moment and think they will go down, or with a bit of luck Hearts' financial situation will be so terrible they will be docked points and get relegated.
  8. Wasn't sure when I read the thread title whether to vote for Dundee United, Hearts or Aberdeen. Looking at the options I realised I really don't give a shit. It's a sad league when the majority of teams care more about who finishes third than who finishes first or second. The **** and the **** can **** off to the English league as far as I'm concerned.
  9. Will this be described as another 'secterian' attack? Like the time a non-OF fan decked him, nothing to do with who he is or who he plays for, everyone must hate him because he's Catholic.
  10. 2-0 FYR Macadonia. I honestly don't think Burley is up to the job. I was pleased when they anounced him as manager, but he's made odd decision after odd decision. Broadfoot being an example. Its unbeliviable that he's trained in Scotland rather than the hotter climate of Macadonia, suprising who he's picked for the call up and I don't think much of a manager who says he isn't 'confident about winning' or having the team themselves saying they think a draw would be a good result. This defeatist attitude is one of the main things that held us back for ages, and whilst I don't like Walter Smith, he managed to get a winning mentality into the Scotland squad, and that is what they need. Hope to be proved wrong.

    What is the line-up?
  12. 'The Glasgow Rangers player Kirk Broadfoot has today revealed that he has been part of the Channel 4 TV show faking it for the last 3 years. The player broke the news today at a hastily arranged press conference as it emerged that new Scotland manager George Burley had drafted the “player" into his squad for the up coming World Cup qualifiers. Broadfoot who told the waiting press that he was in fact a carpet fitter from Fife said " This experience has been great but I now feel that I would totally be out of my depth, and there was no way I could let the country I love so much down, by pulling on the dark blue jersey" Channel 4 have defended there decision to allow Broadfoot to move to Rangers from St Mirren. Saints have issued a statement saying “When the program makers approached us with their plan, we were only too willing to be a part of their experiment. We started that season with 4 or 5 new players and knew one was from the program".The only real surprise said saints boss Gus McPherson, is that the player is not Will Henning who has had a terrible start to the S.P.L season. Rangers would not be drawn on the future of the player at Ibrox, only saying in a short statement “Kirk has been one of our most consistent performers over the last 18 months". Gers boss Walter Smith was unavailable for comment. The S.F.A chief Gordon Smith was quick to back Burley after some sections of the tartan army turned on the manager and pointed out what we have always known, that any carpet fitter from Fife could get a game for Scotland if he wore an OLD FIRM strip. Aberdeen where quick to reassure fans that Jaime Langfield had not also been part of the experiment. ' Hahaha
  13. Whats wrong with Russel Anderson? Good defender, completely ignored by Burley. Burley is continuing a proud tradition of signing Rangers and Celtic players before any others.
  14. Braodfoot isn't a good player. If thats the best Scotland can find, then quite frankly, I'm worried.
  15. Willie Miller (Aberdeen director of football): We wont disclose the fee we paid for Aluko as Birmingham City would like to keep that a private matter. Birmingham City Official Website: Sone Aluko was sold to Aberdeen for a fee of £50,000.
  16. He plays for Rangers he must be good [/sarcasm]
  17. I predict a fourth place finish and a 1-0 loss to Macadonia. Just heard Braodfoot has been called into the Scotland squad, make that a 2-0 win to Macadonia.
  18. Strange Collar thing, prefer it to the last one, simply because I really didn't like the gold on the last one. An Aussie mate of mine saw me in the old shirt and actually asked me 'Where the **** is the gold on your flag?'. I did ask her, 'Where is the yellow and green on yours?', but it is a fair point.
  19. Any manager that has the **** being out of Europe before Queen Of The South is doing a great job in my opinion. Queens scored more goals in Europe this year than Rangers! Makes me happy. I saw Rangers play on Saturday (agianst Aberdeen), and that is honestly the worst Rangers side I have ever seen play in my life. It was a pretty awful Aberdeen side as well which makes a draw against the Dons even worse for Rangers.
  20. A nice bloke who likes to watch a decent football game I reckon. Played for good teams honourary teams if I remember rightly.
  21. Think James getting sent off was the turning point, he was keeping everyone together before. First penalty was a soft one in my opinion. To be honest thats the fourth time this season i've seen Stirling play (once was in the cup against Brechin) and I can't help but wonder why their going down. They've played well every time i've seen them.
  22. I had to pay £14 today, I've seen Stirling twice at Forthbank before, and always got a student discount, as an away fan I didn't.
  23. Getting the 6:55 bus into town. Living just outside Stirling has its advantages.
