THE LARK SAINT Posted December 1, 2010 Author Report Share Posted December 1, 2010 (edited) Just been speeking to Jim at Oban and it is -4 up there best temp, low as -11 so Glen 2 or whatever the grass pitch is called is unsurprisingly OFF!Jim has booked the Astro pitch we have played on before bit it is frozen just now. Jock has checked the roads and he reckons just past Crieff and it's not too bad, but as far as i know the likes of Ben is snowed in at Auchterarder Jock has also had real problems getting the mini bus out and says that there is no way that the trailer will be going as its well snowed in. Jim went on to say that as well as the usuall £100 deposit for the Backpackers he also had to put down a £200 behaviour bond, seems that there were complaints to the Tourist board from other customers , none to happy with excesvive noise in the rooms, and one complaint from a couple who said" This man just appeared from nowhere, and went right through our room" "We were really frightened!!" Agreed to speak to jim on Friday, on state of pitch and will talk to the other Committee guys and make a decision then!
