Strong as an ox, quick and works non/stop he's started really well. Think he might frustrate with some finishing or final balls, but that can be forgiven if the rest of his game stays at the present level

The debate over Lomas sums up Scottish football fans for me. Extreme reaction to whatever the situation. To call for the manager to be sacked after five games was stupid and to now say we have completely turned the corner is stupid. A defeat next week and people will shout for his head.

I am not sure they will though if this is their reaction after 4 or 5 games that we haven't won in the top division. Wait to see their reaction when we are on a worse run on the first division.

Dont know where you get your run of terrible performances from. This season I have seen one terrible performance and that was against Aberdeen when we had about our third choice team out eveytime we have our first choice team I feel we have done well and today we got some reward.

As a supporter of both clubs, this sort of gesture would certainly be something i wholeheartedly agree with and knowing several scousers, it would certainly be something that would be appreciated on Merseyside. To those who say it is nothing to do with our club, i do agree but yesterday wasn't only a victory for Liverpool but more for a victory football and the justice system. It is unfortunate that the game is against Celtic as now doubt they will steal(the same way the did the song itself) any acclaim that would come saints fans way.

Can i be the one to suggest that a potentially more fitting gesture for the day would be a simple chant of "Stand up for the 96" or to the same tune, "Justice for the 96". Would also be good if it could be timed at six minutes into our game.

Is it just me that it is worried about the fact the club has now posted a six figure loss in three of the last four years?

We have now made a loss of approximately 700k in the past four years, evidently we cant continue with this trend. We do have money in the bank, but there wont be much left if we continue to post such losses. Although the board have done well by the club, I really feel that they now need to make a careful decision on what way our club is heading. We cannnot continue to pay large wages to guys who in effect are journeymen. They have no re-sale value and are just a drain on the club. By all means have some experience in the side to build the spine of the team, however I feel we need to start placing our faith in youth development, better scouting systems and better coaching.

Rather than paying wages to a journeyman, I feel we should be improving our scouting network. Look at the gems Dundee United have picked up from the lower leagues, look at Tony Watt at Celtic, who was signed from Airdrie, there are decent young players in the lower leagues who would be desperate to prove their worth at St Johnstone. We should be selling ourselves as a club where young players can come, develop their skills, then move on to a higher level. In the meantime, the club will benefit as well as we will hopefully be able to sell some of these guys on to bigger clubs at a profit.

I realise that sounds slightly idealistic, but what are the other options? Continue as we are, paying high wages to journeyman with no sell on value or take the gamble and invest in our youths, scouting and better coaching? Its time for Mr Steve Brown and his board of directors to make some bold decisions on what direction our club is heading in.

Could be a possibility,not great in that basically every non west stand season ticket holder will be looking for the best seats,could take quite a while for everyone to get seated.
