  1. Does anyone know if tickets for the Rangers game are on sale tomorrow? I've been preoccupied recently with a family illness and subsequent death so am only now thinking about tickets. Website doesn't say anything. I'm not a season ticket holder and wasn't at the Caley game. Don't want to miss out!
  2. I'll not be at the ground til nearer 3 (as long as the nice people at Scotrail get me up from Stirling in time!). Can I give you something for the food bank at half time?
  3. Going to have to miss this sadly. Got a works leaving afternoon/evening piss up to attend in Stirling. Gaffer's leaving. He's a DAB, new gaffer is from Kirkcaldy and a Raith fan. Could've been worse, could've been a Sevco zombie.
  4. Running, horse racing and cooking. I must point out that the last 2 aren't in any way connected!!
  5. Frank Thompson's in Crieff closed for the last time today. I can't recall it having a "smell" like Sleepless mentioned, but my sister knows exactly what he means!
  6. In The Morning Star in Belfast enjoying a pint of Magners. There's a Toals bookie next door, happy days! It's changed a lot since my last visit - holy hell it's now bigger than the betting hall in Tattersalls at Cheltenham!!!!
  7. Frank Thompson's in Crieff is to close. Like Watson's it's been open 100 odd years.
  8. I'm currently enjoying a gin and tonic. It's a Sunday night novelty as the alarm is set for 5.15 am every morning Monday to Friday, but I'm off for a week. Heading over to Belfast on Thursday morning for a gig in the Odessey or whatever it's called now. Health hasn't been great this year. Touch wood I have it under control, therefore the Magner's in Robinson's will taste all the more sweeter
  9. Packing my bag before heading down to Glasgow to stay the night. My sister and I are doing the Great Scottish Run 10K tomorrow. This'll be my first 10K, (I've only ever done 5K's), and my sister only started running 2 weeks ago!! She is a cyclist so isn't unfit. I read on P n B that Jamie's doing the half marathon. Good luck Jamie and anyone else from here that's running tomorrow.
  10. Moving on from scarfgate, the lads sounded great on the telly last night. Well done boys.
  11. I think the cost varies depending on the opposition. Celtic and Dundee for example will be dearer than say, Inverness. I got given hospitality for Motherwell last season for my birthday and I think it was £65/70 ish.
  12. I was in line with the Cummings incident. I didn't think it was a dive. Glad to hear I was right and it's not my dodgy eye sight!!
  13. There is a family that live near me that have a huge flagpole in their garden with a Union Jack flying. They've had a personalised number plate for ages "Blah blah RFC". New car, new plate "W111 ATP". Makes me laugh when I see it.
  14. I work with a guy who plays for the Albion. First thing he said to me today was "Oh my God, you guys have the noisiest fans!"
  15. Well done lads, keep it up! You have the "Tommy Wright's blue n white army" song. How about a banner to go with it? Or "In Tommy we trust"?
  16. I've put a couple of post's up on the Belfast thread in Chit Chat. I've been to Belfast on numerous occasions. One pub I forgot to mention in the other post's was The Monaco Bar. Can't remember exactly where it is, but I think it's beside Whyte's Tavern. It's certainly beside a Toal's bookies They put their lager glasses in a special glasses only fridge, therefore ensuring a near perfect pint. No hot glass straight from the dish washer, flat lager situation. Enjoy folks!!
  17. Must also mention the cracking wee pizza takeaway down the side of The Crown. Think it's on Amelia Street. Anyway, it's open til 2 in the morning kinda time. Perfect for a post pub munch. Hence the reason I can't remember it's fecking name!!!
  18. Visited Belfast many times. As has been said already, it's a great city. Robinson's and The Crown on Great Victoria Street are both worth a visit. The interior of The Crown is fabulous. The guys who worked on the interior of the Titanic also did the inside of The Crown. Toal's bookies is in between the two . Also The Morning Star does a great buffet. It too is beside a Toal's . Can't make the game, but I'm going back over in October for a concert at The Oddessy, can't wait!
  19. The DAB I work with has said to me similar things that have previously been said on here - Paton will give us 100%, will be one of the first names on the team sheet and is a better footballer than he gets credit for. Having said that, this comes from someone who likes a pie sandwich!!!
  20. I hope we get Stirling Albion at Forthbank. I work with a guy that plays for the Binos. I'll be asking him for a couple of freebie tickets
  21. Listened this week for the first time. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Well done guys.
  22. Looking forward to this one. I haven't been too well lately, I've only been to one home game this year (Killie in the cup). Feeling better so am going today. Should be a good atmosphere and hopefully a positive result.
  23. The Cheltenham Festival is around the corner and I can't wait. Heading down again this year. Sadly one of the group can't make it. Therefore I have a Tattersall ticket for each of the 4 days available. If anyone here fancies them please let me know. Face value or near enough it for all 4 or individual days.
  24. The English FA Cup draw is done with a set of numbered balls that look ancient, bit it works. Maybe we should use the same system?
  25. I wasn't there yesterday (not well), but I have never left a game early and I never will. Mainly because I'm tight arsed and want to get my money's worth
