  1. That was always my suspicion of why he was on loan at Saints rather than, say Aberdeen or Hibs/Hearts where wages would have been met. I'm not saying that Saints aren't where they are in the league year on year through luck rather than merit, but you can't deny that the Edinburgh clubs and Aberdeen don't have a larger budget. I'd like to think that SB basically put it out there that "If he's going anywhere on loan, he's coming here, given the fact that you huvnae fukin pyed furrum yit!"
  2. I said to my mate last night "two more games like this and I'm not coming back". Utter shyte and the ref a joke too. Complete waste of money.
  3. try an android box with kodi and sportsmania subscription & add-on. also, sportsdevil add-on sometimes manages to get links to games
  4. poor city sports club. Hopefully folk can use the Barossa and money invested back in it. I like it, but it's not the most inviting place.
  5. I can second that. I was in with my laddie playing pool and there was ONE person in at that time (not including Larky's mrs behind the bar). A few others came in before we left at the back of 4 but there only about half a dozen - 8 folk at that time. Got the bus up to the tulloch to meet my cousin and it was jam packed.
  6. that physio burd is a wee herbie hide!
  7. They had a big "Fan Zone" in the car park, Shaw. DJ's and bands playing, BBQ, booze and general decent craic. Family friendly too. This was for the home leg. Give me a shout if you're up for it. I stay a hop skip and a jump away so you can always crash at mine if you want. Don't know if they did anything for the away leg although I imagine if there's a stream available they'll have that on the big screen.
  8. Is his mate Robert Thompson? he's generally on the ball with stuff, shame he writes for such a shitrag
  9. I've had it straight from the horse's mouth that preparations are already underway.
  10. There was a sit down bit in Watsons until about 5 or 6 years ago. Different folk got it now and don't know what the side bit is used for now as the counter is totally changed and there's no access to it from the front of shop any more.
  11. I hope so! That was magic the last few times.
  12. Could o telt ye that, laddie!
  13. Man Utd is short for Manchester United and Inter Milan short for F.C. Internazionale Milano, Shawberry. Notts is short for Nottinghamshire, an English county. Hence the football club Notts County. #realpedantalert
  14. My wife's sister and her man stay in a flat in the courtyard through that James Street close. I mind going there and then going for a pint in the Tams - we walked through what I now presume to be Reform Place and out via a back dreil next to the Tams without going on a pavement on either Canal Street or Scott Street.

  16. I wonder what the stats are for players subbied ON.
  17. buy both, take to a seamstress and get them to swap the sleeves. hey presto.
  18. If that's the case does it mean the 2nd leg is the home leg?
  19. Aye, Bill Coburn ended up taking over the shop. He and his wife Diane's daughter owns a dancewear shop in Perth and their son plays drums with the band Belle and Sebastian.
  20. Found out that old Bill Wilkie - of Wilkie's Music House - passed away last night. Perth fowk will have fond memories of a decent man.
  21. That's actually crazy, isn't it? Two thirds' worth of games of a whole domestic league season!
  22. The right hand side as you walk down James St from Charterhouse Lane.
