i knew the guy murdered in Whitfield at the weekend, used to stay in beechwood in the 1970s but ended up in Errol. Always a shock when it is someone you know.

Was in the Black Lion on Bayswater Road after the 77 game, just across from Hyde Park. 50 p a pint, no real then as it was only about 28 p in Dundee at the time. I remember the guy in 79 who had a furniture van waiting outside Kings Cross , the tubes were on strike so he charged the punters a few quid each to get to Wembley. He filled it up in no time, locked the back up and walked away with all the dosh. The punters were all ripped off. This may have been 81, not 79, I'm sure I was on the tube in 79.
