Seen them quite a few times over the years and they seem to get better with age. Love their new stuff and had a really good night out at PCH just before Christmas watching them.

That will be some gig at the Albert Hall BH, enjoy and hope there is a DVD from it....

I used to go around Luncarty collecting unwanted juice bottles, they were worth 10p each

Thanks to the 16 teams that turned out tonight, great time had by all and recorded by Perthshire Online TV so a link will be posted up as soon as we know the address. Well done to 3 Degrees & an O Level on their victory and to everyone else who made this a great night

It's a shame that the hospital doesn't suggest donating the umbilical cord. They offer you the chance to keep it but no mention of potential other uses.

Personally I'd like to see organ donation be an opt out programme rather than opt in.

Did the same myself Dave, and also since my brother had to get a liver transplant (non alcohol related) I have been urging folk to donate whatever they can when they die as well. Eveyone, please sign up to donate and yuo could save up to 5 lives and help others see again

Flicking through the sports pages of the Courier at work this morning (during my tea break I hasten to addd!!) and noticed that they have tonight's game as St Johnstone v Aberdeen at 7:45 on Sky Sports 2 with ESPN carrying an African Nations Cup match at 7pm.

Let's hope that their readers realise in time to set their recording devices to the correct channel at the correct time......

Having done Marketing and Promotions over the years it seems obvious to me that we need a presence in the town, the shop before Christmas did really well as folk could just drop in, if we had one in June/July tmie where you could acrually meet the players/manager etc and be sold/buy your season ticket there and then I am sure it would help. Even a table with umbrella in the centre like the AA/RAC have.....

Saints need to do a lot more promotion within the town as well, we did it with Hospital Radio and racked up a lot of support so I am sure we could promote Saints this way too.

A few after school events at the supermarkets where the kids are given their vouchers would bring them and their dad/mum through the turnstiles as well. The Scottish version of WWE did this at Asda and had loads of folk queuing up to get photos/autographs/tickets etc.

The players and management need to give more commitment to the town instead of scurrying off back to Glasgow, ST holders and those that go through the gates every week pay their wages so it would be nice to see them doing some community work to bring the awareness of the club back up again.

Too many folk think that the club will just self perpetuate but unfortunately it doesn't when you are in the state we are in. Club needs to think outside the square, or the ground in this case, to look at ways of drumming up trade. Even the PA when it advertises the SPL does not have a picture of any Saints players but this is more likely due to it being a Lanarkshire based newspaper now.

Sorry to go off-line a few times there but these were just my thoughts, and they are my own as an individual not as the stadium announcer and as such I distance myself from the role in my thoughts

Agree with all of that Kevin. I don't live in Perth so I don't know if they already do this but each week one of the players should be taking a training session with a local primary school football teams. They could even take a 'skills school' (ala Soccer AM) on the road with them to show the local kids some tricks to try and catch their imagination. If they become part of the schooling of these kids they will grow up with St Johnstone as part of their upbringing. I'd be amazed if they don't already do this but its the players we need to get round the classes not our coaches and community coaches.

Kevin got a reaction from THE LARK SAINT in Scoreboard
We cannot get to the bottom of the problems with the scoreboard. Sometimes it works in the morning but plays up in the afternoon during the game. We have had the 'experts' from the company that provided it out to look at it but even they are baffled. One theory is that because it works wirelessly the interference from all the smart phones might have something to do with itand it only goes wonky after the first few minutes of a match, which is when a lot of folk start trawling for scores. Other theories involve water getting into the circuits but so far there has been no real evidence of that but it could be going in through the bulb blocks but it is hard to find out.

We are looking to get something done and if it involves SLF walking round in his mankini wearing a sandwich board, so be it!!

In the interim you will just get the scores read out at half time and full time until we can get a smart phone rigged up behind a very big magnifying glass........

Personally I'm really starting to like Steve Lomas.

It's a man's game after all and whilst I can't condone his behavior, it's hardly a hanging offence surely. his first game in charge was at Ibrox and resulted in a ban. we have a very passionate fledgling manager who will learn and that's good enough for me.

Tone it down a tad, but don't change too much Steve.
