  1. Don't quote me on that, I'm just going on media reports that the contract is based on both of the old firm being in the SPL and they have the ability to renegotiate if that's not the case - if they can renegotiate mid contract then there's every possibility they can break contract completely.
  2. As far as I'm aware the Sky deal is worth around £10mil per year to the SPL, I think you're taking figures based on the distribution of the full TV rights money when you quote £1mil+? Of course losing that income will be of detriment to the club, but to say it will categorically put the club in administration within a year is slightly far fetched. If I was fired from my job would I be a certainty to be declared bankrupt within a set time frame, just because my income had changed whilst my outgoings hadn't? Of course not, I would adjust in a number of ways - and the club would do the same. Plus, being a realist, do you think Sky going to walk away completely from the SPL? Back on topic, why would you boycott Sky? They have a contract based on having the old firm matches, and as they no longer have that then they can renegotiate or walk away if they wish. Sky's decision will be based on business alone, and it's poor business by the SPL that's got us here.
  3. Based on what? That's one hell of a statement to make without justifying it!
  4. Anyone know of a link to the documentary online? I'm on the otherside of the world and didn't manage to get to it on iplayer in time.
  5. Pitch looks perfect, was getting cut today by Souters. As said, the Jehovahs only use a small area of the pitch infront of the dugouts.
  6. The big man's word on the matter.
  7. This was touched on in another thread the other week, when it was said that Grant Cullen has left saints, but was never expanded on. I noticed today that he is no longer listed on the OS. Anybody any idea what happened there? Or did it simply not work for the club? What's happened to the remit of the GM, will the club look to fill the position again?
  8. Any idea when the players will report back for the first day of pre-season?
  9. I'll be there. Would be good if we had a bit more of a definitive call on the situation of a few of the team, I'm sure Saturday will be goodbyes from certain players. I'd love to see Reynolds and may get some game time together. COYS.
  10. Current state of play, as I see/hear it, is that Del spoke to Brentford before the Hibs game and hasn't since, although we're led to believe they made an offer that his agent rejected straight away. GB says he won't discuss compensation until Brentford agree terms with Del. It would appear that a deals far from done, however the way Del spoke post match with Jim Spence it sounded (to me at least) like it was more a matter of time. He did say that he was very happy at Saints though....
  11. Neither the midden or Hamilton will be any loss to the SPL, so I'll sit on the fence there. Really hope the young guys get a chance in the last two games, I think it would be foolish not to give them some decent game time. Really want to see Reynolds and May up top together.
  12. You put it perfectly. However, personally I think if Del could put another good season in at saints, especially on what will be a tight budget next year, then his stock will rise more. Brentford is a step up from Saints, but is it the best step for McInnes to take right now? On the other hand, is this as good a time for change as any at McDiarmid?
  13. Suggestions by some that Del's unhappy with the budget situation for next year and has thrown a bit of a hissy fit. Anyone with anything to say on that? Also, what's Del and Doc's contract situ?
  14. The David Robertson story seems to be everywhere, not much to say on the guy as I don't know enough about him, although it would suggest that if you does sign we'll be loosing one of the current CM's!
  15. Always half full. Go back 6 years and look at where we were, to where we are now, then smile.
  16. For whatever reason Mark Paige didn't want to continue running Perth FM, I'll make the assumption that it's financially based on his part. He agreed to transfer the license for the frequency to Heartland FM. The license and frequency still exist, but now come under the name of Heartland, and Ofcom approved a request from both licenses to be co-located and share programming. Basically Perth FM no longer exists and if you tune in to the frequency your picking up community radio from Pitlochry.
  17. Anybody got a working stream for the game? I'm sure there must be at least one out there on the inter web machine!
  18. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/scot_prem/9336457.stm 2 Leagues of 10 looking like it my be sitting better with clubs than people thought. Also Geoff seems to have his belt undone. I'm not sure if I want to know any more about the meeting . . .
  19. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/scot_prem/9216271.stm According to the bbc the dutch aren't playing ball either . . .
  20. Anybody got a working stream for the game? I'm watching on http://usports03.blogspot.com/2010/11/channel-2.html but the quality is pretty poor!
  21. I guess I'm a young one (twenties) in comparison to some, but I'll throw in my worth. Last game of the 2006/07 season I had booked a trip down to London for a music festival well in advance, not thinking too much about the dates (amateur, I know). Not wanting to miss out on the trip to London with mates, but at the same time realising that If I missed the Hamilton game and things went our way, I would hate myself for eternity. After we had beat Queens the week before to take it to the wire, I booked my travel for the Hamilton game. I flew down to London on the Friday morning, went to the festival, left my mates to party in London, while I got the overnight bus back to Perth, 10 hours and no sleep. Quick shower at my parents, then met friends in Perth and drove through to Hamilton for the game. Safe to say the game was a heart breaker. Afterwards got a lift from my mates Dad to Glasgow Airport, and caught a flight back down to London and met up with my friends later that night. We flew back home on Monday morning. I was hardly in London and missed the best day of the festival but I would do it all again in a heartbeat. Come on you Saints.
  22. I'd rather see banners, or photos than a mural done by kids to be honest. Recently bought 2 6ftx6ft vinyl banners, full colour, £120 for the pair, fair enough they're the cheap end of the spectrum, but I think the whole idea is very do-able. It would be a great thing to come from the fans forum.
  23. According to the BBC feed there was a late pitch inspection today, which was passed. Hope the ground staff are ready for a busy winter!
