Speaking for myself, as someone who has no affinity with either half of the OF, I find most of what they write about both of you equally as obnoxious, pretentious and downright insulting to anyone with an iota of intelligence. But then again I used to have hope that things might change within my lifetime. Silly me.

The BBC have the audacity to say, on teletext, that "The SPL are open to the Atlantic League" Whereas, in fact, it is only the OF and Walter Smith who has made that statement. A spokesman for the SPL has already refuted the idea. Apparently.

The ref did speak to the fourth official, and that was cleared up later on as Mainstand has already said above. He informed them that he was going to send Terry off and there were no objections. Unfortunately the media often try and make English refs out to be in error even when they are meticulous in getting the decision right. Setanta commentators tried to stir it up by saying that he had probably taken advice from the fourth official before sending him off. Which 'might just might' have set a precedent. Much more interesting and controversial. The 'pundits', *** Sherwood I believe and AN Other lost credibility IMHO when they took the anti-ref and easy opt out by saying that they didn't think it was a sending off. I thought the ref had a pretty good match and dealt well with the petty histrionics from Chelsea players following the sending off.

Well... maybe not us Cagey, but have you seen the other teams in the SPL trying to score against them. Apparently teams in the Champions League say their defence is their weak point and yet SPL provincial teams find it very hard to score against them. Says it all about the S Primary L really.
