  1. I wouldn't want to be a member of a club that would have me as a member! But then again I'm a right knob, so looks like I'd belong in the Barossa!
  2. Go on then, just for shits & giggles - Tommy to SevCoGers - Ally McCoist back here. Although not till after the QOS match in Feb, we want to win that one! And yes I am temporarily insane.
  3. Used to live in Dumfries, so will be going up with the missus from Coventry for the weekend. Only 488 mile round trip. It's the wife's birthday the week before so if I sell the trip as a romantic getaway, then casually say on the way up, "oh, I didn't realise that Saintees are playing there this weekend- shall we go?"
  4. I realise that it wouldn't raise enough revenue to sign players, but it's a real bugbear of mine that there is precious little Cup Winner merchandise on the website -a couple of t-shirts, a polo shirt and a 60 quid photo album (that has gone online today). I'd have spent at least 100 notes in the afterglow of that amazing day on the usual stuff- for myself, friends and family. Campus has a few (and only a few) things on its website, I ordered a mug last week from Campus but was told today that the one I've chosen won't be available for 2 to 3 weeks. No problem, I chose another. But why can't the club put more stuff on their online store? Surely they're losing out on some extra revenue.
  5. Well I ordered my Cup Winners mug (not really much choice for other merch) last week from the Campus website. Received a phone call from them today saying that it would be about 2 to 3 week wait for the mug I chose, but they had the others in stock. No problem, I chose one of them and it's on its way today. The chap from Campus said that they only do the merch as a favour to the club and don't make anything from these sales. Great service.
  6. I don't know why he's got such a bad name - how many times have we all said we'd love Saints to sign a player because he's hungry for it, and you can't deny that he doesn't lack bite. Cannibals get a bad press in my opinion. Suarez's favourite pre match meal? Spleens on toast! Badoom-boom-tsch.
  7. A cake starts off soft then goes hard, a biscuit starts off hard then goes soft. I do both, depending on how much I've had to drink- Fnarr-Fnarr, Badoom-Boom-Tsch!
  8. Still in Cup heaven

  9. Easy win against the Swiss, I'm sure their defence has as many holes as their cheese.
  10. I've noticed that the online shop isn't selling much Cup Winners stuff, only the t-shirts and polo shirts. I live too far away to just pop up to Perth to visit the Club shop or Campus. I got my cup final scarf/t-shirt and cup winners t-shirt from the Teamwear website. I emailed the Club in the week after glorious win to ask whether any merch was going onto the online shop, but didn't receive a reply. In the couple of weeks after the final I probably would have done £100 easily on winners stuff, but as the post winning glow undoubtedly will begin to fade, and we move into next season (£40 on new shirt etc)- I'm going to get less and less interested in getting any. I can't be the only Saintee who lives in foreign fields who would spend some dough online. It surely can't cost too much in either cash or man hours to get the Cup Winners merch on there.
  11. I'm still in Cup heaven.

  12. This last week i've watched the 10 minute BBC highlights on tinternet, Sportscene highlights, the whole of BBC's Saturday coverage, SFA Defy The Odds, plus various YouTube vids. I've even watched the semi against the Dons! Loads of great pics to see too. Well done everyone. I emailed the Club today about something, and in the email I also thanked ALL of the staff who work behind the scenes to help make the club what it is.
  13. Here are some pics, a few by me and a couple from Facebook... http://s1290.photobucket.com/user/wazeroonie/library/Mobile%20Uploads/2014-05
  14. Got back home to Cov at about 6pm, did all the usual stuff (cuppa, put stuff away, dinner etc)- but all the time my head and heart was back in Glesga, re-living it all from about half past two onwards. What a day. It's been great sharing it with you all. Here's to more memories.
  15. I thought that lots of Arabs hadn't held cards up, but the I saw that they were black cards to try and show the animal thingy on their badge. Would have looked god if it had worked. Their day didn't get any better. Ha.
  16. Both myself and the wife seem to have mislaid our voices, they were last heard in and around Celtic Park at about 5pm-ish last night. They don't know Glasgow very well so we're not sure if they'll find their way back to us. The police didn't seem interested in our plight, but I've got a presentation to give tomorrow. Have they made their way to Perth for the bus parade, or is it something more sinister?
  17. Had a few 'well dones' on the walk back to the City Centre from Arabs which was classy. One thing I didn't like was the quote from McNamara after the match, "It's easier to stop than to create". Well Jackie, we CREATED two goals- so get it right up ye! LAUGH OUT LOUD.
  18. Frazer is the man for me, and I must mention Stevie May. He wasn't the match winner we were all willing him to be, but the way he was so closely marked by the Arab players meant that our other players got a bit more room.
  19. Walking back to the hotel thro the Gorbals with the wife, our scarves proudly on, so many people saying well done (mainly Gers fans)- into the hotel there's a husband/wife Arab combo at the bar. How depressed did he look? We looked at each other, I gave him a wink and a smile- he got up and left the bar with his wife still sitting there. Shame, I would have bought him a pint. So so proud of Tommy, the players, and all the other fans who - tho outnumbered- out supported the other fans for the whole 90-odd minutes. Also really happy for Geoff and Steve Brown, they run the club the right way.
  20. Who the f**k started this thread? Jinxy mother lover! Grrrr....
  21. In the Libertine Bar in Merchant City in dear old Glesga toon, great tunes and beer, see you in Times Square tomorrow- although none of you will know who I am LAUGH OUT LOUD...
  22. The sun always shines on the righteous.
  23. It's the '81 Scottish Cup game against Rangers for me, the family lived in Perth and I was 9, my Dad took me even thought he's an Aberdeen fan. I had been flirting with supporting Aberdeen (for obvious reasons) and Rangers (my best mate at the time supported them) as youngsters do. This wasn't my first game and I don't remember much about the match, except for how I felt when Rangers scored the equaliser to make it 3-3. Like a kick in my young undropped hairless balls. From that moment I was a Saints fan, can't explain why. It's the lows that make the highs even more worth it.
  24. By talking incessantly at work about the final for the last few weeks, I seem to have converted about 50 people to watch the match who wouldn't normally. About ten of them are off to the pub to watch the Engerlish final and have arranged for the pub to have our final on beforehand.
  25. It looks like the bookies is in downtown Beiruit!
