25e Ainslie Place
Yes you won a lot when football first started in the 1800's but Queens Park were the real Madrid of world football then, so yes you won the odd title then. However there is no doubt that the late 40's/ early 50's great "Famous Five" team was outstanding when there were bigger crowds, gate sharing (your best players then would have been bought by the OF under today's numptie Scottish football economics) and there was a premium on entertainment but in the modern Old Firm monopoly celeb bland era you have won only the 1st Division which we've won three times in this modern era. I missed the dates of your Scottish Cup final appearances or even League Cup wins You cant be forgetting about a mere 5-1 League CUP FINAL win for the Hibees in 2007 are you? " Sunshine on Leith ! " Sunshine on Leith ! " We won the Scottish Cup in 2010. It was 5-1 I think but really once you got a spawny extra-time win against the mighty Perth Saints in the semis in your home town you were going to win the cup against wee kilmarnock. I don't care. One day Saints will win the Scottish Cup and it is possible if you get the right draw like these teams. I thought Saints finest period was 69 to 71 and players then began to drift away slowly as well as Ormond later. Partick, Dundee and Livi all won when they had decent sides but I've seen better Saints teams in my life than these teams so there's an element of luck involved because that's what the cup is about. One day!
