It was a good night, SL seemed much more relaxed than when he did the first one at Barossa St. About 70 folk there including a well behaved bunch of Muirton Suite ladies all dressed up for their Christmas night out.

Stan Harris was there representing the Directors.

A few things that stood out for me:

SL thinks very highly of the players and the effort they put in both on the training ground and the pitch.

SL wants to hang onto Pawlett but thinks Brown will want him back at Aberdeen especially if they loose the young winger.

SL thinks the world of Muzz and says we should enjoy him while we have him. Again they would love him to stay but he will no dont move on at some stage. SL said if and when that happens he will get a big thank you from SL for all he has done.

Stevie May situation unclear.SL thought he benefited from the stint at Alloa but needs to be playing at a higher level than that,he is doing well at Hamilton but quite often playing up front on his own. He may be back in January to compete with the other strikers or may still be out on lone,position undecided at this point.

Stan Harris spoke well and was pretty open about how trading is difficult due to falling crowds and in particular a drop in income form other sources such as hospitality but despite this they had managed to put together a very strong asquad.

Jim Masson was compere and asked the questions on behalf of the audience. He had about 30 questions so we could not get through them all.

As for Charles Green, he knows exactly what he's doing: coming out every now and then with the occasional, tub-thumping, 'us against the world' statement is exactly what the TFOD fans want to hear. It keeps them all onside and raises his popularity among orc-kind. Whether or not his comments ever make sense, or are even based in truth, appears to be of very little relevance.

I think Green has missed out on some easy money here. They should have taken the allocation and then the supporters would not have bought them and they get away with it. With him coming out as the leader of this pathetic revolt he has left the ball in the hands of United and the SFA.

If Rangers don't take up their allocation of tickets they should either be thrown out of the competition or get none of the money. I see Sky are showing the game as well.

Thats possibly the best place for the fourth official if he has to be in the ground at all.

Having the game called off reminded me of the day I was half way to the Falkirk stadium. Does anyone remember that Partick Thistle fan that came to a lot of Saints games? Met him on the train that day and he decided to get off at Croy to go see Partick. Must be a full time Partick fan now they are doing well!

Need to try throwing the young guys into the mix. Liam Caddis seems to be a really direct type who has a bit of pace. Get them used to playing rather than bench warming. You never know how injuries might hit over 90 mins. So the young guys need to get some experience rather than getting flung into the deep end should circumstance dictate it. Back, or get rid of the young players. If they have it, develop them sensibly not just ignore them.

Fans of other clubs who come on here must be thinking we are a right bunch of ungreatful buggers! 2 points off top, one of the strongest squads in the leauge yet we are all moaning about how bad we played! Sign of a good team if you can win when playing crap! Roll on Wesnesday!

I think peoples expectations are too high and they think we have a array of talent on the bench to change things dramatically.At the moment we are down to the bare bones.Lomas from what has been said on here played a 442 on Saturday but its now his fault again for not changing it after calls to play this system for pretty much the whole season.
Folk dont like the guy for some reason and they need to take their Alan Hanson/Billy Dodds glasses off.We have played some cracking football this season and I just dont get some of the reactions of fans.

Yup, have to agree that he was brilliant with the kids and families at matches. During that period I was a youngster in the Ormond Stand and he always interacted with the crowd in that end during the warm-up. I even remember him running into the stand on a couple of occasions. Sadly I never got a pair of his gloves.

Towards the end of his time at Saints, when I guess things had started to turn sour, I seem to remember him being booed for running towards the away end and giving his gloves to an opposing fan.

Them's were the days - Ormond Stand used to be packed. Or at least that's how I remember it.

Up until very recently you never saw any football teams wearing poppies on their strips, yet nobody seemed to be "disgusted" by it then. It's a very new thing in football - why? Sometimes I get the impression it's become more about the fashion of wanting to be publicly seen to care about something, than it is about the caring itself (I reckon this all started with Princess Diana's death, and continued with those wristbands loads of people were wearing for a while but now seem to have disappeared).

Surely a minute's silence is enough? Alternatively, perhaps the players should all have had "I CARE ABOUT STUFF, HONEST" scrawled across their faces in permanent marker pen.

If the SFL dropped the nonsense Rangers and Celtic B team talk I could maybe take their ideas seriously.

Frazer Wright make Robo cop look like a pussy. The man is a rock, he goes where mere men fear to tread and risks life and limb on a weekly basis. He has no concept of fear and if I was in a fight, I cannot think of any other Saints player I would rather have by my side. At the rate he is going, he will need a blood transfusion soon as his claret seems to flow every week. Three tops this week, two last time.. As a solid defender the man is brilliant ( yes, his passing aint great but we don't employ him for that)
