  1. Spot on. And it could be that there will be as many, if not more, Scottish players playing in the EUFA Cup Final as English Players appearing in the Champions (ahem!) League Final - which is between two supposed English teams. Well... at least they are based in England.
  2. They're showing the 2nd half here on BFBS Ascension. So here goes...
  3. Simply amazing that we've gone downhill so fast after it's become obvious that we were out of the race. I hope that no one is surprised that attendances are liable to fall linearly in line with the declining results. What a way to lose the home record - with nothing at stake as well. And despite all the garbage that certain players have been spouting in the press about the need to keep winning. Yeah Yeah.
  4. 2nd match on the trot - If we keep this pish up the Albino's will be the next club to think we throw (ie. we can't win the league so it's no big deal) matches when it suits. Absolute unacceptable lack of effort garbage and totally unfair to Stirling Alb. It stinks - sends out completely the wrong message and will obviously upset them, not to mention our own fans who are paying good money to watch these sort of matches. For goodness sake the season is nowhere near finished - is it? I can't wait for the comments from those that made the effort.
  5. I just came in and switched teletext on - I think is that a corrupt scoreline I'm seeing.....Nah!!!
  6. Well - Three today, so far, so he must be doing something right.
  7. I assume all the others in the team are consistently brilliant during warm-up.
  8. Good point young Beatson.
  9. Slightly off topic as we are discussing loan players but... Do we still run a youth set-up/academy such as Sturrock wanted to put in place whilst he was with us. Only I seem to remember that the idea was 'shelved' as it WASN'T going to be cost effective and would therefore not be 'in-line' with the clubs' financial strategy. So in other words did Jackson, Moon come through our youth teams u16 u18's etc ?? Tks.
  10. Clyde usually suss us out early on in the match and then employ tactics accordingly. Don't see it being any different today. We'll resort to the long punts. Nobody on our side will manage to score. Can't see us deviating from the usual script as per the first two games against these. Hamilton and Dundee will recover from their 'blips' and we will fall further behind. But... on the bright side, it'll soon be the New Year.
  11. Phew...! Thanks this IS heavy reading.
  12. Is/was he struggling or is/was it a case of Suicidal tendancies ??
  13. Sick is the word I would use... they always have someone there outwith the team that will drag them back from the brink. It appears that it is their destiny. No matter how bad...
  14. My dear friend, I have been posting on St J websites including the original offical club web-site around 1997 - Nobody has ever told me to keep my opinions to myself. If you care to look at the comments on threads about the last three league games you will see that I am not alone in my opinions. Your 2nd point - Why if this is so are even Saints fans able to come up with many alternative suggestions that might - or might not - return us to the passing game which was so successful up until recently. Your 3rd point - You missed mine completely, I wasn't popping at him for failing to deliver I was pointing out that if we were winning cups and leagues we would stand even less chance of holding on to our manager. I'm just cheesed off that with the chance of possibly winning a trophy of reasonable stature this weekend - the game seems to be the last thing on anyone's mind.
  15. Ha! Keep windin' it up Raddo - This is better than any footie.... Speaking of which - Is there any footie this weekend?
  16. Not me... But I'd like to pose a question. Just how does a club of our stature (nowadays) hold on to any manager who appears to be bringing a modicum of success to the club?? Ok - for St Mikey's benefit. "If he goes"
  17. Hmmm, is this why Coyle has been apathetic about the 'long ball' game we've been playing for at least the last three league games. Why he hasn't appeared to want to rock the boat with team selections. Why his subs are too late and nearly always the wrong move. I dunno we get a manager that nearly, I say NEARLY, starts to put us back on the rails. NEARLY wins us our first ever national trophy, NEARLY gets us promoted out of the 1st. And it's as if he's the new Arse(n) Wenger of the north. Heaven help us if we ever get someone that actually delivers any of the above. If he does go I just hope the bloody team wins us the Cup in spite of all this speculation.
  18. Concur! And my next door neighbour, a gentleman from the island of St Helena, who is coach to the 1st Ascension Scouts 'Senior Team' says he wouldn'nt mind a crack at the job.
  19. That post wiz too cynical - ah've deleted it... :|
