Ormond Saints went into this St. Andrews Day Challenge Trophy match with Queens Park still smarting from Scotspurs late equaliser at the same venue a week earlier, but those cobwebs were soon swept away when we raced into an early lead that proved to be the catalyst for a 13 goal haul.Willie Fernie started it of with a close range header then Steve Laing made it 2-0 from a Ross Kaylor cross, and soon after Fernie or "Pinecone "to us! made it 3 with a shot from 10 yards.Andy Muir then scored with an excellent goal from about 20 yards Ross Kaylor, Gav McDonald, and Fernie again added to the total to make the half time score 7-0. Ross Kaylor and a Fernie brace made it 10 before Queens snatched a goal back. A Cal Kennedy brace and another from Steve Laing completed the scoring

Nothing much else can really be said. Good team performance, shame it happened to be against our long standing friends.

Afterwards we headed back to Ormonds Bar in Perth for a few beers with Iain and his team, and as ever a good time was had and the spread put on by Davie Fair at the pub was lapped up by all. The Glasgow lads headed for home about half six and by then only a few Saints lads remained staying until about half seven.
