Been living and working in belfast for 2 years now. Live 5 minutes from the oval in holywood.
Lots of good pubs etc.... overe here no problems with saftey or security .
Locals are very friendly however there is some parts of the city that make govan look like a 5 star resort !
Not to many pubs around the oval , drink in the city centre then taxi or walk to the ground.
Its a short hop in a taxi from the airport as well .
    Few suggestions :
Robinsons bar (opposite the europa hotel) has live music and good craic
Cathedral quarter - lots of bars main ones being the harp bar , the duke of york, both very lively
Kitchen bar - right outside victoria square shopping centre does an excellent bar lunch.
As its marching season there will more than likely be a few band parades about the place so just be aware of that ... and as the oval is in a loyalist area there shouldnt be to many problems.
Typically im away on holiday for this match
If anyone needs any info on places to go things to see etc... give me a shout on here

I dunno about all the ticket prices etc, but I would like it if the club had more of a handle on its own merchandise. The Christmas shop was a great idea but beanies etc are very seasonal. Retro stuff is all the rage these days. Imagine how many "Roddy legend" t shirts they could sell. Or t shirts about famous games. 3-3 Monaco, 5-0 Aberdeen, 7-2 Dundee etc.

I thought pawlett, mckay and wright were good today, the rest seemed like they scoffed too much turkey recently. Lazy, lacklustre, weak.

I would also add vine into that actually, had some great touches from shocking delivery and worked very well with pawlett and McKay.

Nigel wants dropped for slowing into the corner with 6 minutes to go, absolute disgrace.

Hey, 3 points and a clean sheet plus I think we may go off on a wee run now.

Oh and the Muppets who complain about their unfair and unjust treatment fron stewards and police have really helped their cause today by no doubt earning the club a fine for the smoke bombs, idiots.

Sorry for the delay in posting. Merry xmas to all and i hope you have a good new year. It was great to meet you all at our first meeting. We may not be overlooking the sacred turf we all love or even be in the shadows of it, being way up here in the Highlands but it doesnt make our little club any less important, we all still love the Saints. Lets make 2013 a good year for our newly formed club and hopefully make lots of new like minded friends, and help spread the word of the Perth Saints. COYS.

Just a quick note to say that we enjoyed our first meeting of the Highland Saints on Monday evening. Of the 20 people who have registered interest, 10 came along with most of the others contacting me to say cannot attend but will come to next meeting. There was one who was so excited turned up a week early!!!.

Its all looking really good. I thought the 10 of us got on so well and were all a great bunch of guys united by their love of all things St.Johnstone. We decided to hold a more formal gathering after the holiday period to constitute the club properly. I will be emailing everyone with a bit more detail of the discussions in due course. The date of the next meeting is Monday 21st January at 7.30 PM , Inshes Gate.

It was great meeting you all!
