Scobby_SJFC
That's a training ground and not a youth academy. Isnt their youth development based there?
ryangordon86
It is, but what do I know!
mainstand
Isnt their youth development based there? It is, but what do I know! The youth set up is based at Murray Park but they have a number of bases throughout the country. I know they did some costcutting last year and reduced a under 10 squad taht was training weekly at Motherwell. Wish i was Joe McGurn
The youth set up is based at Murray Park but they have a number of bases throughout the country. I know they did some costcutting last year and reduced a under 10 squad taht was training weekly at Motherwell. Some costcutting. It's rangers were talking about. Great legacy Murray left them with. He must be proud.
pavel
You say: even Rangers £12M investment in Murray Park hasn't guaranteed them success with kids. As if the 12m was invested primarily for youth development when it is primarily a training ground with youth development. Doesn't mean there youth academy is any better than anyone else's. It just happens to be based at a 12m training ground.

BlueJ
They go for quantity and with the numbers they are talking about in the youths set upo they will come up with some gems. They have a community ste up which is run like a business and this feeds into the academy. Go along on a Saturday morning and you will find the Falkirk in the community have nearly 200 kids playing in the Forth Valley League whilst they also have centres for kids that are not in the community teams. The Academy structure based at the university has kids starting at 9 and they are brought in form all of the clubs in the area. The whole community system is run as a business making money on kit and on monthly fees. Not sure if it is still the case but they were being funded at one time by the boy that runs the schuh company, he built the academy for them. Thanks MS. Pity we don't have a schuhger daddy like that.
