Saintcraig
Ok so here it is, the latest in local football gossip: Miguel Simao is has been in Perth for a couple of weeks now and has since checked into a well known local town centre hotel. I hear he is sniffing around for a contract. Can anyone suggest anything to the contrary?

I hear he is sniffing around for a contract. Can anyone suggest anything to the contrary? Swifts looking for a new high profile player? Press Association looking for a new ex-playing stats man? Berry picking?

Kevin
It aint going to happen! Maybe if we were still Div 1 then yes, it could be a possibility but at 36 he is a wee bit too old for what we need now I think

If you were offered a MASSIVE increase in your salary at that stage in your career, would you not jump at the chance? Bear in mind i don't think he had any kids or a wife to support at that time so i don't grudge him it in the slightest. Japan is a fascinating place, i would love to get a move out there for a few years on a good wage. In all honesty anyway, he wasn't a world beater, but a cult hero. Its only Geoff that would not have welcomed him home though, he was adored by the fans.
Mike180279
Was a great player in his day but what age is he now?? Was never a patch on Moore, Maskrey, Del Boy, Jenkinson, biscuits. I thought he had a couple of goods games for us, but never really did it for me consistently enough to leave a lasting impression.
Saintcraig
I agree perhaps not as a player but as coaching staff or even maybe some other non-football career. Is he perhaps looking for some Simao offspring from 9 yrs ago? Come on guys you can do better than this. I'm so dissappointed thus far! O'Rourke
Are you mistaking Neil McCann for him? Easy mistake to make!

Not even if you knew that you would be adored where ever you went , it would almost be as if the streets were paved with gold? Ahh come on, yes ya would Na you raise a fair point there, i think we need to except that WAP is becoming more like P&B with joke threads popping up. Once i acclimatise to it, i'm all for it! On the point of him coming back, good few years ago when still in SPL, i got info from a player at the club that he was to make a return. Clearly a liar!!! True Saintee
Walking in town with my Saints top on when I bump into Miguel! Stopped for a chat and found out he's now an agent! Guy he was with is Romanian and is to be on trial with us next week as well as another club. Made my day, top guy.
soulfulsaint
Best explanation so far to why Miguel is in Perth. I like the Romanians although I think the Securitate in he East Stand are terrible see thread http://www.weareperth.co.uk/vforum/showthread.php?t=10694

metalbearabroad
Guy he was with is Romanian and is to be on trial with us next week as well as another club. Maybe Miguel was just checking out local hotels for his pal in order to buch-a-rest?

supersaint44
did it not say tht in the programme on sat that he is now a footy agent?
Ronaldo
One Miguel. The Romanians took care of Motherwell, mind you it was Steau Bucharest. I'm sure it was called Rumania when I was a kid reading football books and Romanians came from Rome or were gypsies.
