blueheaven
Don't suppose anyone out there is able to tell me when Pullars chimney on Mill Street was knocked down?
Edstar101
I'm sure Pullars closed early 80's, but not sure exactly when the chimney came down.
sleepless
They must have been closed early 80s as Ed says because I worked for the Council then and we used the empty building for storage

Lochwinnochsaintee
I've rechecked the book, definitely says it was dismantled in 1980; I was at school with Jeremy and I'm sure he would have ensured his facts were accurate before publishing. As I understand it the business had been running down for some time and with changes in technology could have carried on afterwards without the need for a chimney.
