henryhallsdanceband
Low so far the men's road race - high? - men's gymnastics - especially Louis Smith - mega. Didn't know Brits could be so good at pommel - bl**dy difficult piece of equipment. And off to Wembley tomorrow with the Mrs for the football. Two matches - Senegal vs Uruguay and GB vs UAE. My first Wembley visit - rather looking forward to it. Our tickets are for the second tier at the halfway line - 6 rows back - so we've got good seats. henryhallsdanceband
Done the tour, Emirates Stadium is better, IMO. Been on the pitch at Empirates for Coldplay a few weeks back - what I saw of the stadium itself (lowest tier rather obviously ) it did look good. Anyway - day out in London tomorrow and two football matches - though whether the Mrs will want to watch all of Senegal vs Uruguay I don't know. Get first hand bit of the Olympic atmosphere in London - not so sure what the atmosphere at the games is going to be like.
henryhallsdanceband
...and we'll also try and catch the end of the women's road race. Gonna be busy in Central London tomorrow but we know a cracking little Italian cafe in Soho so we'll have a late lunch there before heading to Wembley :-)

Jings
Lows - Bike road race. Surely they had to at least try and make a break from the peleton, if the other teams wouldn't pitch in. Disgrace that there was no split timing available to the commentators, and they had to make it up as they went along. Highs - Ogogo in the boxing. Wish i was Joe McGurn
Seems its another low for Paula radcliffe, never won a medal in the olympics but gets all this good press. Fails again at the highest level.
Kilgour
It would appear that this wealthy young lady is rather miffed at news of her injury being "leaked"sic as she was allegedly hoping to sell same story to the meejah for more pennies. If she and for instance Philips Idowu dont actually compete then they are unlucky but selfish as they are depriving others a place on the team

newyear'sday97
Get the feeling that Team GB aren't going to do as well as the English media would have us believe. At the start of every event so far, any GB athlete seems to just have to turn up and collect the gold medal according to the BBC. Then when they finish 6th or whatever, it's a case of "Oh well, they did as well as could be expected." Typical was Rebecca Adlington this morning. Before her race it seemed as if the rest were wasting their time being there. Then she wins her race and the hype is even bigger. Then when they realise thet 7 other swimmers in other heats have swum faster and she's just scraped through to the final, we get told that it would be a major shock if she even won a medal! I'd be willing to put money on Team GB not doing as well as 4 years ago - expectation levels are way too high and putting the athletes under too much pressure. Real Madrid
I enjoyed my free tickets to the football on Thursday afternoon and the mass of sport available on the BBC until after midnight each night. Last nights womans Sweden v Norway handball game was good.
Saint Pomarium of Flats
Quite liked Colin Oates trying to psych out a stone-faced Georgian judoka with a series of feints, time-wasting exercises and refusals to engage, only to get shido'd and have his attempt at a throw be instantly and brutally countered. The low was probably Alina Dumitru engaging in fairly blatant cheating on the way to the silver, but at least Menezes didn't fall for her nonsense and blew threw her in a business-like fashion. Love to see your achievements. Could you even run a marathon? I doubt it. Has there ever been a more ignorant comment posted than that above. If you dont know about sport, dont spout such rubbish.
