soulfulsaint
News coming from Swansea fans site that Glasgow Rangers are watching Jason Scotland with a view to a summer bid. I know there is already a Jason thread in fitba chat but this is a specifically Saints question. If we go up would you want Jason Scotland playing against us for Rangers. Jason versus Saints in SPL your views? (PS. Reports have come via blackberry from Swansea web-site so no link to story yet.)
Guest Mike
The way He`s banging in goals at Swansea im not supprised. He would suit teams like Hibs, Hearts & Motherwell. Not to sure about Rangers though.
Mike180279
I disagree, I think Jason is one of the top players in the league and could feature in both of the old firms teams. I am sure we will see him make his next move to a team that could afford him at the top of the English Championship/bottom of Premier

perth_saintee12
He should stay where he is in the summer, he would be a benchwarmer sadly at rangers.
Ramagamma
Woulnd't particulary like to see this happen but thats football and if it does, I'm sure he would get a round of applause from the Saints fans upon visiting McDiarmid Park again. Until the bast' shoved a few past our Main man. Which would probably happen.

Speaking of which, I can't wait too see how cozy Willo Flood is going to keep the bench at celtic.

He's miles better than Novo, a better all-round player than Boyd, and he's scored more goals in the Championship than Miller. Oh and unlike Boyd he's an internationalist. O'Rourke
Cossie, if he signs for Rangers I'll go to a game as your Pearly Queen! Can't see it happening, then again I did run up a street naked after Mo Johnston signed for them!

Oh and unlike Boyd he's an internationalist. Would he get a work permit though? Haven't the greats of the game (Murdo McLeod, Tony Higgins, eh....) already decided that he's not good enough for the SPL?
Scobby_SJFC
Rangers canot afford him and any champiosnhip side would a. outbid them and b. pay higher wages Jasson is a sainteee

garydavidson
Its taken them 80 goals to finally accept kris boyd, scotland has no chance! Rangers fans like kenny millars who run about doing nothing rather than guys who know where the back of the net is.

garydavidson
na only some of them of them do, they just seem to make so much more noise about it.
Steve Maskrey
Can't see it happening. Jason went down there partly to play beside his Trinidad mate Denis Lawrence. It would seem highly unlikely when he's saying stuff like this: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/swansea_city/7877109.stm Jason is a Saintee
Perth-Saint
I can't see that happening, I think he will end up in the premier league at some point.
sjfc.spl.09-10
No i wouldn't want him in Glasgow Atol! But the player is good enough for any one is scotland, all i have to say is all the best to him!
faircityboy
if the **** are after him i doubt he will go he wants to better himself not step down 3 leagues. there will be premier clubs looking at him to because his scoring record has been outstanding this season. i dread him playing against us next season. StDuncM
I found him on facebook last night before SS's Blackberry story this lunchtime. Just thought I would drop that in. However why on earth would anyone with any talent want to come back to play in Scotland after playing away..............................so to speak! SJC
He will either be in the Premiership with Swansea of be playing in England's top flight with another team next year I hope he doesn't sign for Rangers as he is better than that lot Of course he can't come back up here because he would be denied a work permit wouldn't he? Surely the fact that Rangers might be interested wouldn't have any affect!

Surely the fact that Rangers might be interested wouldn't have any affect! I think when he was at dundee utd the panels justification was he was not bringing anything to the SPL. Since that point he was a Saints Player at the world cup that in itself (if the beaks could see into the future) probably would have been enough for the extended stay at Dundee Utd. He is now a completely different proposition if the old firm were to weigh in with cash then I believe that their argument is now not valid as he is proving himself in a league tougher than our top flight and respresnted his county at the worlds biggest showpiece. I dont think it will happen becuase he is a bigger player not for the reason of eligibility.
StuartBeedieFanClub
He has a dream of playing with Swansea in Premiership, if they don't make it he will definately play there with another team next season.
