Well there have been a lot of revelations in the press recently about how Qatar came to be awarded the 2022 World Cup. This despite folks (including Blatter) now agreeing that it's too hot to play there in summer and that it was a mistake. You'd think the simplest of due diligence over the bid, or even looking up the climate in Qatar before the vote would have ruled them out.
 
Anyway I reckon the decision will be declared null and void by FIFA with great fanfare and another vote will be taken. Why - because it allows for another round of bribes. Discuss.

MOH is a serial underperformer IMO. One great spell for us during which he destroyed Sevco with some devastating running. Most times though the end product was lacking, e.g. a duff cross or a shot off target.

I am sure there is enough natural talent among Scottish youngsters as any other country. We need to find the platform for them to come through, and that might involve putting on some "import controls". When I was a kid we played football all day and even into the dark some nights. Massive informal games of 20-odd a side, mixed ages and abilities, in the playing fields at Goodlyburn or Letham Schools or Seven Acres or Jeanfield Park. You never see that now. Only a very tiny minority of players get the chance to play in proper organised games and I think we are missing the talent that's right in front of our noses.

For me we had lots of possession but no penetration. Kane doesn't make the angles runs and the crosses were poor. I keep thinking ball into feet and slotted into the channels was the way to win that game but we just didn't do it. Hugely disappointing but a very enjoyable trip none the less.

Danny said himself that he was surprised how good the offer was from Saints, it was more than he expected financially but like Mr Chunder has mentioned above it was the pull of playing for hibs, particularly after his personal circumstance that mattered.

Based on the chat I had with at the POTY night, he was never staying once he knew Hibs were in for him. We may have swithered over a counter offer, but the chairman's not at fault here.

We are 9 days away from competing in Europe for the 5th Season out of the last 6 . The Managers and Players deserve huge credit for this achievement but we should all remember that this would never be possible without the excellent stewardship of our club by the Brown Family and other Directors . With the level of our support we need people in charge who support our Manager but are also sometimes prepared to make difficult and unpopular decisions for the longterm  sustainability of the Football Club . The Tam Scobbie decision probably falls into this category .
