Personally Dave 123, I think we were playing with a relatively settled side. Two hard working forwards May & Macca both of whom who not only scored but made goals too. A settled midfield, (yesterday midfield posted missing) The team virtually picked itself. If you dare watch the cup final again & you will see the hard work put in just by these two alone! Before I even start to highlight the rest of the teams contribution.
I don't think the team lack effort, I think they have lost their way a bit & I think in part that is due to all the changes.

I think your question is more revealing than it seems. I think that some players and fans are expecting i wins this season rather than working for the wins. I think the question should be who can we beat. If anything this seasons legue has shown if you want it enough you can get the win ie Hamilton inverness, if you don't you end up drifting to the bottom ie Motherwell.

I believe we can bet any team in the league but we have to get into a we have to win mentality rather than a should win mentality.

I may be a bit simple but when I was made redundant in the 90s I took jobs that were paying less just to get back in job market. (And better than benefits.). Why would a footballer not sign a short term contract just to get back in shop window? Some money is better than no money!

Just watched the Alloa v The Rangers highlights.  My eyesight is not what it was but it looked like the brave Linesman who flagged Daly's goal offside was in fact a Lineswoman!  Clearly woman are not admitted to the Lodge.

Jeez...as much as I would like Kane back it appears that all our players out on loan could do better than the squad players playing now! Whilst Zander is an excellent goalie and Kane is obviously a goal scorer we will have to be patient and bring these player through! Both are great prospects and I'm sure will feature for Saints when either Mannus leaves or when Tommy and Callum and our coaches believe they need their chance. Until then I'm reasonably happy that Zander is doing well, Kane is scoring and Mannus is still our goalie and not with someone else.

Doncaster is a regular visitor at the stadium and very cosily behind the Defectors -so cannot see him or his mates at Hampden/Park Gardens or wotever its called now-stepping in to check finances as THAT MAY result in Rangers being forced back to the lower tiers for x amount of years and that cannae (according to the experts) be allowed to happen.

Surely the club had to rebuild slowly and not race ahead with all guns blazing -its a sad state of affairs that is taking Scottish football further down the pecking order.

Whilst the penalty is draconian  - I stand by what I said earlier. Saints Flags for Saints games. Although it doesn't feel it at times McDiarmid is a place of entertainment not a political arena. We have free speech in this country and should you wish to air your views get yourself a couple of Irn Bru crates and do a Jim Murphy round Scotland. There are only two clubs politicising the game - lets not go down that route.

Surprised and disappointed that, as an exile, I am not allowed a vote. Ok, I made a choice to leave when I joined up to serve my Queen and country but that country was Scotland, part of a United Kingdom. I see no reason why this union should not continue but feel that I should have been given the opportunity to express my opinion, just like incomers can, who have made the reverse journey that I did and now live in a place other than that of their birth.

I have no idea what is to be gained by independence and, quite frankly, don't get it. I especially don't understand the amount of bile eminating from some of those in the Yes side towards those on the opposite side. It reminds me of Belfast and Berlin.

That's my opinion for what it's worth.

With all this post Scottish Cup depression it is now time to press on and support our team in the forthcoming season...by that I mean support our Chairman, Directors, all players including loanees, the staff who work for Saints behind the scenes and everyone connected with Saints. In whatever way we must try to build on what we have already achieved! 
 
We are a family club (at least that is what we are always being told) and we all need to pull together, even if we do not agree with everything that Saints do!
 
I do not know how many season tickets we've sold to date, but if everyone at the Scottish Cup Final supporting Saints is a supporter, then we certainly have plenty of untapped potential!
 
From fans who have not yet renewed, to people who cannot attend, but could offer sponsorship or anyone able to part with their hard earned for the benefit of Saints then that is what we require. 
 
We all know a friend, relative who attended the final and most probably enjoyed the experience, but we all need to encourage them further in some small or big way to support Saints in order to maximise that potential. 
 
To retain our squad and improve on the current home support, although good as it is it definately should be more! 
 
If we were able to encourage the extra fans to attend the final, then why not encourage them for the forthcoming season? Sponsorship, Group Sponsorship, Buying Merchandise, Season Tickets, Lottery and using the stadium facilities are all for the benefit of our team.
 
Get talking and encouraging and it just may make a difference, believe in Saints.
