The City Hall should never have been built, the only open space in the center of a medieval city (a space specifically for markets, fares and gatherings) given over to an Edwardian monstrosity...... that has long out lived its usefulness....it takes vision and courage to plan a cityscape and for once I think the civic authorities are demonstrating exactly those qualities......but there are deeply conservative elements who will pyss all over it, again a and again.

Anyway, what has any of this got to do with Saints v Killie? Really cannot believe how these threads get sidetracked by folk who are unable to open up a new thread somewhere more appropriate, like Football Chat.....
 
Only reason I came on here was to see if anyone had commented on how well Fiona did in her first match on her own, from the feedback frmo the club she was superb and I am delighted as it justifies giving her the role and makes Saints into one of the most unique clubs in the world, as well as smashing the glass ceiling for the future

Really enjoyed yesterday had a braw day. The staff at Mcdiarmid stepped up a notch in my eyes ( again ) yesterday. The wee lad has been an emotional wee soul over the past week due to the loss of his grandad. Crying almost anywhere which is understandable as hes only 7. One of the directors noticed he was upset and sent to of the players into the muirton suite to get him. Robbo and Ando took the wee fella ontp the pitch for a kick about and it son wiped the tears away. It was braw to see. A wee letter to the club i think.
 

Yes, Fiona is very nervous and also very aware of the sort of flak that comes with the job. She is diong well so far considering that she has never done anything like this before so the negtive comments will not help her at all.....
 
Trying to get her to do the mic on the pitch but it really is a daunting prospect as yuo have to speak and not listen to what yuoare saying due to the time lapse, only a second but enough to throw you completely and go flaky.
 
Must say I am lpeased with the vast majority of folk's cmoments abuot how they like what she is diong, we are way out ni front of the rest of the UK with the only female announcer and, from what I can gather, we are only the second or third club in Europe!!

PLEASE, PLEASE, at the end of the match, win or lose do NOT come onto the pitch as it could result in us being fined and banned by EUFA. Which means if we go on and win and some of the crowd get onto the pitch we would lose our place in the next round.

I will leave it up to you all to ensure the usual culprits are restrained as they will all be named and shamed and probably get a banning order from the polis if they do run onto the pitch. Let's enjoy our night and the glory it brings, not the stupidity the press will show the world!!
