Already almost 700 people who have joined a page talking about this on Facebook, and we will try to get EVERY bus on board, with an announcement made on all buses.  That should let about 5000 people know.  If everyone then tells everyone around them, then we will have enough people to make it AMAZING...
 
It is still uncertain as to whether SuperSaint will be allowed to orchestrate it, but if not, here is THE PLAN....... IT IS GOING TO HAPPEN. (includes singing, and the card display)
 
At 2:50pm, everyone starts shouting. "OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" whilst putting both hands in air with fingers moving.
 
When everyone has joined in, everyone says "SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
 
Any trumpets we can get on board then play the start of Espana (if those directly around the trumpet in section 141 can also sing the trumpet part to make it loud)... when this happens, we all crouch down and stand up at the relevant point throwing our scarves in the air. (video below)
 
When the trumpet part has finished, everyone starts singing the song, and twirls their scarves, and jumps around...
 
When the team appear from the tunnel, everyone then holds up the coloured card that is on their seat (will be slotted at the back)
At this time, everyone sings the slow version of "oh when the saints" as loud as possible.
 
After this, when the game is about to start, we all put our coloured card down, and start the Espana chant again, to create an amazing spectacle and atmosphere from the very start of the game.
 
After that, no more plans... We don't want anything forced.  Just want to try to have the best chance to create the best EVER atmosphere that any saints fan has EVER experienced.
 
Please share and explain to everyone who is going.  Share before the game, and explain to others on the day of the game.  Tell everyone on the buses. Lets make this a hair raising moment.

Well, just had a blast along with EsEs link.  Neighbours none too chuffed but am ready to do my bit come the 17th.  Flying into Edinburgh so am travelling through by car, but intend being early at ground. Happy to give it laldy outside and inside ground, so plenty of rehearsing opportunity before main event around 2.55!!  
 
As you say, 'would be great if everyone did it'.

I would be delighted if no-one was to hear a trumpet at 2.55!  I think this is why supersaint is suggesting that he 'directs' from in front of the saints fans.
 
Believe me, lugging a trumpet from Norwich and then around the game is not what i had in mind.  I am only trying to contribute to something that I think might be good to do.  If it is felt that it is a waist of time I'll keep both arms for drinking, no problem. 

Looking again at EsEs number v Besiktas number, I can see the Besiktas falling flat on its face if we don't all pick it up and quickly.
 
The EsEs number in my mind is the better option to hope to get 15000 saintees going for it and really doing something we remember a the mother of all chants for the final.
 
Supersaint (and others), I think we need to decide on which one we are going to do and go for it.  
 
My suggestion would be to get the EsEs tune played over tannoy system tomorrow and then at least a good hardcore group of fans will have heard it, know what to expect and give us more chance of getting it off the ground at the final where stadium and numbers will be a tad different!

Are you the drummer? I am hoping to bring my trumpet to do EsEs number or whatever Supersaint decides to do.
 
If trumpet and drum got close together, maybe even near front just for the big scarf twirling effort at start, it could be quite effective.

On a totally different theme and it is very unlikely to happen. At most games there is the usual chant of " What a shitey home support" etc I think it would be great if both sets of fans at some point in the game sang " What a great away support" , since both teams are in effect the away support plus it would stick to fingers right back at the SFA, the media and others who have tried so hard to make it difficult to get tickets and who think that only the Infirm have the right to sell out cup finals.

I do not ever recall feeling this way about a game of fitba........I have become absolutely obsessed by the whole affair .....the excitement is coursing through my veins.....and about time too...the whole atmosphere created through reading some of the stories about travel....the amount of support getting behind the team...the efforts and expense people are having to endure to get here.....the people that through age, location or other reasons who are having to go through the hell of missing it but watching it on TV.....the coming together of all of Perthshire and beyond....

But most of all my pride in coming from Perth has been regenerated into epic proportions.....I cannot wait to experience the night before....the morning of the day.....the boozer just before....looking around in the stadium and seeing an ocean .......not a sea ......of blue and familiar faces.....the singing ....and hopefully just hopefully a result that will give Perth a long overdue injection of a feel good factor that has been lost for a generation .....

Come on ye saints....give us a Sunday in the town centre never seen before!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Park behind Stanley Crescent is still there mate and more in use than ever with all the new flats where Simpson Park used to be.

Watched the game on my computer in sunny Perth Straylia. Booked me flights right after the final whistle, before the missus could talk me out of it (paying for it now though). Arrive on 15th for a few nights in the REAL Perth to soak up the atmosphere (Tennents). My favourite Saints memory is standing at the ice rink end at Muirton watching Saints demolish SV Hamburg. Looking forward to a new favourite Saints memory.

Have read the forum for years but never really bothered to sign up, after reading all these great stories and fellow saintees buzzing for the final there was no better time to join and be in amongst the hype. I am only 20 years old so haven't had to wait quite as long as others for our first ever cup final but it really is times like these that make you so proud to support St.Johnstone, that moment at Ibrox on Sunday when the second goal went in with 5 minutes to go was unreal, we had finally done it!! it'll be great to see so many saints fans in one place at the final all singing our hearts out backing our wee club from Perth, something old firm fans will never truly understand. COYS!!!

Great line from a gentleman at the game today......'"I've had to wait 71 years for today to come", and turning to his grandson said, '"and you've had it in 6". I hope you realise how lucky you are wee man!"

What a cup win would mean to thousands of us is almost too much to put into words.

A mixture of overachieving for a relatively small town club and not winning one major trophy means that generations of families from Perthshire will be drawn to this one game more than many other club fans can begin to imagine.

It's not just a day for a team to win a cup, it is a day for a team to fill a void in the hearts and minds of thousands of saints fans, past and present.

During my, now less frequent than I would like, trips to perth I pay my respects to my grandparents who like many perth folk left us from the cemetery just behind McD. Many of us will be hoping we can take a winning cup final memory to keep for ourselves but also share with future generations for years to come.

Right, enough Shiraz for me tonight! Shouldn't have mixed the wheat with the grape. No more tears...........!
