ODAB
Mitigating circumstances into getting into a street brawl outside a nightclub, can't handle his drink ?? Like to see what the judge says about that. I have said if convicted, he's not been yet. The if part shows that I am not condemning him to be guilty. He could of walked away from any situation he got himself into, he choose not too. So if found guilty then should face punishment. As should anyone else. No matter who he is. Simple as. Mitigating circumstances being he saw his best friend knocked unconcious and then seeing a member of the public attacked who tried to help the man lying uncouncious on the ground. ancientsaint
And yet 2 bids went into United tonight apparently, according to Jim Spence. Why would clubs bid before the second issue is resolved? Strange as I had heard the assault case was what was holding up any potential sale. It has been common knowledge for sometime the rape case was not going to court but I suppose from a comercial point of view it isnt a good selling point to your fans if there is a rape charge still officially hanging over a player. Of course Spence could be talking sh!t as usual. Also quite strange that you seem to want him to be found guilty of something Joe. Surely it would be good to see Scotland's best young talent head south and develop his game for the benefit of the nationl team? 3-6 mths for assault (IPG) is better than couple of years for Rape and that is why clubs will now make a move. ODAB
No club would put an outlay of that size if they had serious concerns about whether or not he will be going to jail for any length of time. Could be Blackpool and Rangers trying to steal a march on other sides and are taking a calculated risk or could be they know something the public doesn't. Either way I'd be suprised to see him jailed (that's jailed not saying he won't be found guilty) and he'll be in England before the end of August. Wish i was Joe McGurn
Mitigating circumstances being he saw his best friend knocked unconcious and then seeing a member of the public attacked who tried to help the man lying uncouncious on the ground. ODAB
No but that is exactly what the two boys admitted to in their court case the other week. Unless they've been paid off by Rangers too?

ODAB
Sad thing is there are so many that probably do believe it is a possibility.

ODAB
Not in the assault case no. Swanson, Douglas, Allan and Goodwillie were on a night out. Happy Feet was interviewed as a witness to the rape allegation as the two were out at a party in Livingston. One of the two attackers in the assault case was actually a former United youth player. ODAB
Goodwillie was not attacked by them, Swanson was. If anything it would suggest he's a tit. Although the fact that the 2 guys actually attacked a member of the public who tried to help Swanson as he lay unconcious would be a better indicator of who the tit or tits were in this incident.
