HOODLUM65
anyone know how this ended? Ghostie was suggesting on FB that he was going... Lost 2-1 to a slick Dons side under Sherino's watchful eye. Started shakily in defence and McKenzie's weak parry was not cleared by a static defence. allowing Aberdeen to open the scoring Second half penalty awarded as Dons forward raced clear into the box only to be brought down from behind. Outcome 2-0. Saints rallied late in the game and were rewarded when a sweeping move up the left flank and cross to the right flank found sub Docherty who looked like he was in a position to shoot, but squared the ball to the back post, where Hurst had only to steer the ball between the sticks. sleepless and garydavidson
David123
I don't think there is much to worry about regards scores and table in this league, as the majority of our best young players are out on loan
HOODLUM65
Mc Laren on the left was subbed at halftime. Appeared to have breathing problems as his inhaler was brought to the touchline. Thomson on the right was a revelation with his pace and trickery, causing his marker no end of trouble, before teasing the other full back when switched to the left in the second half to accommodate Docherty. Saints downfall was their passing and decision making was poor, allowing the opposition possession, though to be fair Dons closed them down quickly. Despite that, Saint's could have equalised, however the Dons keeper dealt competently with what came his way. HOODLUM65
Keep up Hoodlum 3 - 2!! Crikey give me time to get to the pub. A thumping shot by Arabs no.4 in the second half, who was allowed to advance thru' the middle unchallenged left the keeper with no chance. A highly entertaining game with Saints midgets against United's giants ended 3-2. HOODLUM65
Saints were denied a second penalty when the ball struck a defender's arm ( not for the first time ), from the resulting let off, United broke forward to score their second. (Ghostie was heard to exclaim, how many keeper's have they on the park) Edited April 3, 2017 by HOODLUM65 sleepless and Tranmere Saintee
HOODLUM65
Fairly good attendance at this game and a lot of faces ( Couples ) who were new to me. Probably parents/ friends of the Arab players. Made for a decent atmosphere and applauded both sets of players. Braw.

HOODLUM65
The Saints bench had six players from the under 17 team plus one who is 17. (3 came on as subs) Jack Wilson from the u17's started alongside Jason Kerr (my M.O.M.) at the heart of the defence. 3 others in the starting line-up are aged 17. Lumsden (tiny right back). Midfielder Alistair Mc Cann, who was fielded at left back and Jamie Docherty a small forward with a big shot.
BigKerno
A lot of the crowd were parents / friends of the young team that stepped up. The lad Hamilton that came on is only 15 as was 2 others on the bench. HOODLUM65 and Cagerf

HOODLUM65
Saints 'keeper saved a penalty, then we went up the park for 2-1, now 2-2 Thanks Dave. Found the 2-2 result on the Spfl website. Now caught up with Dundee at the bottom of the table on points, tho' goal difference is 2 goals worse off. A creditable result against a team flying high at the top end of the league.
