We could do with some more wisdom. Just going to meet at central tomorrow, under the big clock at twelve. Can't miss us, two ginger guys with beards and a taller guy with pointy shoes.

You see, that's a perfectly fair post to debate the topic.

What I hate is the knicker-wetting responses to shut down a thread because they disagree. If they disagree, say why. Discuss it like an adult. Not a 3 year old who's been told he can't have a mars bar. I find the Internet moving more and more towards that type of response where you can't discuss anything. If I was in the pub and said to my mates - "Hey, think Macca's been off the boil a bit lately?" we'd have a nice wee chat about it. They'd disagree, say why, blah blah blah. What they wouldn't say is "Right, shut the bar. Everyone out. That's an incredibly harsh topic.". "Or, right Broon, leave, that's just too much".

It's a total nonsense and you see it too much on this board. Folk need to lighten up.

    Hello Again Guys

Sadly, we are stuggling to find the Armadillo to fill one of our Toasy's
The Pig we use to look for truffles, has started to fly, thus now eating all Quail eggs found....
And even more upsetting the Elk (Or wapiti as we call her) ate all the Maple Syrup and has been bannished back to North America, Oh Deer.

However, that still leaves 212 Toasties to struggle through, Plus our Mega Roll which i forgot to mention.

Mega Roll - Cheese (Or Fried Tomato's), Slice, Slice, Bacon, Scone and Egg - £2.20
Haggis Mega Roll - Cheese (Or Fried Tomato's) Haggis, Slice, Bacon, Scone and Egg £2.20
    The Utimate Mega Roll - 2 x rolls, 3 x Slice, 3 x Scones, 2 x Bacon, 2 x Fried Egg and either Cheese or Fried Tomato's - £3.60

Finally, I can't give refunds on a poor result, as i'd be chewing my arm off every saturday for half my trade.... Enjoy the day though if we see you or not.

Largest by what measure? Incidents of sectarianism? Number of arrests? Size of policing bills? Count of hospital admissions? Record of abuse incidents? If you're looking for a football spectacle, I doubt you'll find it here, despite what we're tirelessly told by the media.

That said, I'm not interested whether Rangers are a new club or not. Either way, their club and supporters are a blight on Scottish sport.

Yeah, I mean Gary Miller can play right back can't he.

I say he can play right back. What I mean is that's the area of the pitch where his inability to do anything with a football is least impactful

Agree with much of what has been said here. I'm not sure why Brown has dropped completely out of things. Whilst still having a bit to learn I think he's got all the components to be an excellent holding midfield player. Him and Millar would work well together.

That doesn't really solve the major problem of creativity and pace but perhaps having a passer in there that can get the ball to Worherspoon and O'Halloran would help with that. MacLean should help with that too in terms of holding the ball up and spreading the play. I'm not a Graham fan but appreciate needs to be another option given MacLeans injury record.

McFadden has excited me on a couple of occasions but on balance agree with Kyle. I think he's done and he probably knows it. He's going to miss as many games as he plays.

At risk of contradicting my views on giving Scott Brown a chance; is there any hope of getting James Dunne back? No idea if he plays for Portsmouth but I really liked him. Him and Millar were fantastic in the cup final. Sadly Muzz looks a long way from the player he was.

Squad definitely needs freshened ahead of next season. This time round think we'll finish 6th which in grand scheme of things is more than fine. Frustration is that it could have been better with way league has shaped up. Retain the cup and nobody will care less anyway......

Have to say I'm a bit concerned about Wright overhauling the squad. His signings have been a bit hit and miss overall. To clarify I'm absolutely not advocating a change of manager here, far from it. This next period will simply highlight again what a great team we've had now over many years with great spine at the heart of it.

Whilst I agree (kind of), Lappin is under contract for another 18 months. I think we brought him in to play as a winger, but he's lost any pace he once had and, on the evidence of yesterday, doesn't look like a capable enough player at left back. I agree that we definitely need to add pace and energy, coupled with technical ability, to the squad. Not an easy ask.

    The following are out of contract in the summer;

    Mannus
    Banks

    Mackay
    Miller
    Wright
    Easton
    Scobbie

    Croft
    Caddis
    Millar
    Brown
McDonald (has a 1 year extension clause based on appearances)
    Davidson (as McDonald above)

    Graham
    McFadden

I'd like us to definitely keep Millar, Easton and Brown. The first two for their consistency and the latter for his potential. Mackay will likely be offered an extension and will probably stay. TW has talked about wanting to get Graham sorted out for beyond this season too, so you'd imagine there's a reasonable chance that will happen.

Some easy ones for me regarding players to release. Banks, Miller, Caddis, Croft and McDonald. McDonald and Miller are probably reasonably well paid and we have to bear in mind Banks currently has a dual role with him taking on some of the goalie coaching. If he's willing to stay at the club just doing that, then fine, but Clark should be ahead of him in the pecking order next season and we don't need 3 senior goalkeepers. Caddis isn't good enough in my mind and Croft just doesn't look the same player from his first spell here.

Mannus has talked about trying his luck in England on several occasions and you'd have to think it'll be this summer or never for him when you take into account his age. Wright has been excellent, but as Aitchy says above, we can't keep relying on these injections and he might choose to retire. McFadden... jury's out for me. He's offered us a different option and has been involved in quite a few goals, but he's been injured or not risked as often as he's been fit. At 32, will that get any better? I'm not sure. It's a shame as he is a very gifted footballer, but it'll only get more difficult for him over the next few years. This one might be considered a bit controversial, but is it that crazy to suggest that we should get rid of Davidson? He's been an excellent servant for us, yes, but he's hardly contributed since re-signing for the club in 2013. 2 goals in the last season and a half and he looks a bit scared of getting hurt again. When you look across the squad, he's probably our highest earner too, considering he got a Scotland cap not so long ago.

    In summary;

    Definitely keep
Mannus (if he's willing to sign)
    Millar
    Easton
    Brown
    Mackay
    Graham (probably)

    Definitely release
    Banks
    Miller
    McDonald
    Caddis
    Croft

Jury is out on the rest IMO.

Deserves a ban of some sort for the gesture. My only problem with the whole 'trial by TV' is that they are picking up on some points, but not others. If you are going to have this system, you must punish all those who do something wrong that the ref misses.

Into every life some rain must fall. Saints beaten by a better team on the day . Given the chances Aberdeen had 2-0 was fair enough and if they had scored 4 we could have had little complaint. All that said, there are a few issues. The second Dons goal looked at least 4 Yards offside ( and given the speed the hopeless lino ran up the tunnel at fulltime I suspect he knew he had ****ed up) Then we had the seats fiasco, which was utter nonsense and could have easily caused serious problems in a situation where there was none. Finally, what the **** was going on with keeping the small band of Saints fans inside the stadium for 15 minutes after the game?? It was a disgrace. IF the police deemed there was any problem with the possibilty of Dons fans causing trouble ( which is pretty hard to believe given the result etc) why did they not just keep them all in?? Another day of being treated like shite by a football club and a match commander. £24 to get in didnae help either. Nae wonder folk cannae be ****ed anymore.

I have seen more football played in a game of amateur football, zero atmosphere, hardly anything to cheer about. A bad day when you clap more for the performance of your left back and keeper than anyone else.

Ally Gilchrist score a volley from outside the box and Kyle Lander scored after the keeper dropped the ball. Very good team performance. Craig Thomson had a good game and Brodie Gray and Paul Simpson were brilliant together in the middle of the park
