Debatable whether or not this action is necessary or helpful, but the sight of a government minister Googling a definition of a ‘night’club’ during a such an important parliamentary debate, at such a crucial time for businesses hanging by a thread is a new low for Holyrood, and that is up against some stiff competition of late. Considering the hammering hospitality etc has taken over the Covid period it was a quite despicable to see our parliament treated with such utter contempt.  The ‘Minister’ responsible could not even outline the basic principles of the action, she should be sacked (again!)

If you've received your first, second or both vaccine doses in England, you can get your coronavirus vaccination status via the normal process by:
downloading a PDF online phoning the COVID Vaccination Status Helpline This is because we have a data exchange in place with England.
If your data is not showing, check another time as these files update regularly. If this is not resolved phone the COVID-19 Vaccination Status Helpline.

Now the proud owner of a paper copy.  Could not beat your wife's time 'cos I had to go to the kitchen calendar to get a vax date bit still managed 4 mins!

    Oh you’re right.

I was down in France for 6 weeks this summer, and a similar but stricter system came into play while I was there.

There was a bit of protest as well, but in practice, it’s just a 2 second glance at your phone on the way into a restaurant or bar.

Muggins here had to carry around my A4 certificate due to us not having an e-system in place!

They also allowed you into venues if you’d passed a PCR test within the past 48 hours and weren’t vaccinated.

Quite amazing and deeply concerning that nutjob British Nationalists will even use this to tell anti Scottish Government lies and spread coved disinformation.
Forget apps - what you need is a Vaccine Status Certificate. You can request it online, or by phone. You don’t necessarily need access to a computer, smartphone, apps or a printer.
All you need is your id numbers, which were on your vax letter. They are easy to get hold of if you no longer have your letter (see link below).
Your certificate becomes available instantly. You can:
    a) Keep it on your phone and wave that as required.
    b) Print out a paper copy - my wife did this. The whole process from start to finish took her less than 2 minutes.
    c) Request a hard copy through the mail. I did this. It said it could take 14 days. I got it the next  day.
Really, it literally could not be easier, and don’t listen to idiots telling you otherwise. I imagine identical, or very similar systems are in place across the UK and indeed the whole world.
Here is the link, with all the information. You can request a certificate from it.

As time goes on, this will get busy, so I’d recommend getting yourself sorted now.

No, it’s a straight 6 v 6 draw. Doesn’t matter if we finish first or sixth.
Wiki have a page just for this (they have a page for EVERYTHING). We’re still 4th.

It’s just the 6 best runners-up (results against the bottom team in our group don’t count). Not only are they seeded, but they will play their “semi” at home. We really need to finish top 6 out of the ten. At the moment, we lie 4th, but a few of the groups have played fewer games than ours. If we win our next 3 games, which is very doable, we should easily make it.

I wrote a dissertation on Orwell. Read every book he wrote except, ironically, The Road to Wigan Pier. He wrote 1984 on a Scottish island and then dropped dead. I suspect this was in order to avoid having to spend the rest of his life listening to folk banging on about Orwellian this and 1984 that, usually presented in endless, endless, endless memes......

Imagine if we found and sold a McCann and Kerr every season. Broon would be paying us £25 each every week  to turn up.*

Bear in mind the “journalist” will be a 20 year old gender studies graduate employed as an unpaid intern expected to file 15 “stories” per day, all rehashes of stuff they found on the internet.

Sorry but this is all crap!
    1) May was always going, his contract was ending that season, his agent instructed him not to sign a new one, so we cashed in.
    2) We have been in the Premier League for the longest stretch of time I can remember (been supporting saints since 1995 when we were in the 1st division), we won 2 cups last season and have hit the top 6/Euro qualification several times in the last 10 years. We are the "Yo-yo" club that doesn't seem to yo-yo that much any more, save for in and out of the top 6.
    3) Roddy is a director. Previously he was an associate director and before that a Lotto administrator. He's Saints through and through and a good ambassador for the club and is well respected in the game.
    4) Sensible thing to do and has been done at many clubs over the years, including Saints. Back in the day Stewart Duff did a lot of the day-to-day running for Geoff.
    5) Drey Wright couldn't agree a deal, we had no manager at the time but overall wasn't a huge loss even tho he was a decent player.
    6) Stevie May's contract was held up by Rowan Vine being a t***. May punted Vine anyway and Saints got their man. This also kinda cancels out point one as we got the cash then got the player back.
    7) Wallace Duffy has played about 15 times since joining Inverness. He has been no real loss.
    8) I have never seen any solid evidence to show that Wright was sacked (see my last post from the Record article). "Off the record" claims can be little more than Chinese whispers.
    9) Thanks to Brexit, work permits are a massive bugger for all professions.
    10) "£1-£1.2mill with add-ons. Adds-ons take figure to £2m before sell on fees." Which is more than £1.75 million! Ali made it clear he wanted to leave.
    11) Yes, loans are not ideal, but we have cover. We got a new midfielder because we just sold one plus Craig and Davidson have a combined age of 67. Striker is now here and training and we still have other defenders that are experienced. We can also still sign free agents outwith the window
    12) Yes, and so will every other club. I'd hazard a guess here tho that now we have money from the sales of Kerr and McCann and the dust has settled on Europe and we can get fans back in bringing in much needed ££, Brown and Callum can start looking at budgets to get players on new deals.
Steve Brown ain't no saint (pun fully intended!) and yes, not everything is perfect. I do think McCann could have gone for more. But we always balance the books, we still don't know what fun and game swill be thrown up by Covid, having has 1.5 years now without fans and I'd far rather have him and Roddy than Charles Green, Craig White, the Kelly Family, The Marrs, Di Stefano, Romanov or any of the other idiots that have ruined clubs in Scotland over the years.

Brown has said it will reach 2 million in time, so presumably add-ons for appearances. Add on even 10% of a future transfer fee, and he could double our record fee in time. Of course none of this might happen - judgements have to be made. The point is, you cannot evaluate transfer fees just on the up-front amount any more.

Hope he’s not senile. I was behind him in the car queue before the LASK game. His car is bigger than most houses. He had a huge grin on his face. Got waved through with much “Mr Brown, sir”-ing. I told the car park guy “ I’m with Mr Brown”.
Turns out the car park guy a) Does not have a sense of humour, and b) Knows a LOT of swear words.

    Here's my thought on this.
Ali McCann away to Preston in the english "2nd division". No chance of winning anything but will be earning a lot more money than he did at saints.
Jason Kerr away to Wigan in the english "3rd division". No chance of winning anything but will be earning a lot more money than he did at saints.
We are left with this question. How can an English 3rd division team pay more money than a Scottish premier league team?
    Here's the answer. Sky Sports.
If you are a St Johnstone supporter and are paying a subscription to Sky Sports I would suggest that you cancel your subscription.
You are part of the problem.

The worst thing about all this will be having to look up the scores for Preston and Wigan every week. Preston is a grand old club, but Wigan fecking Athletic? Sounds like a jockstrap manufacturer, the type of place you only hear about every fifty years when the octogenarian Labour MP drops dead or George Orwell writes a book.
