When the camera cut to Craig Levein at full-time, a familiar wry smile was spread across his face. He couldn't believe his side had completed the heist and won all three points.
Come the end of the season, Kane's late strike - although undeserved - will represent a vital three points that really should have gone the other way.
Pre-game, Levein talked about how his players had been working hard in training, putting their bodies on the line. The defence proved him right, throwing themselves at last-ditch challenges they had no right to get to.
And a word for Dimitar Mitov. A couple of vital saves that kept St Johnstone in it, before they eventually pulled off the robbery.

Great 3 points. Daylight robbery going by beeb reports. We weren't great but think we were worth the win.
No failures tonight but Broken and Gallagher are not wing backs but we don't have any.
Smith and Phillips worked their socks off "they all did",and looked knackered but kept going . Only two subs used and one of those for injury.
Does Levein not trust the squad or foes he not want to change things we we are not getting beat.

Whoever pulled the Mitov rabbit out of the hat signing for us has either a brilliant eye for talent or got lucky.

We only used 3 subs who didn't improve the team and Spangler never got on the pitch.
He must be a poor trainer.
He would be my first pick after Mitov.

I wonder what Sven Sprangler has done/said to Andy Kirk or Craig Levein when they came in. Dramatic fall from grace 

Only ever feel cheated v the ugly sisters.
But for that header at the end .....and oofft 3-1 looks good on them.

Good performance but 2 mistakes and 2 Celtic goals.
Brown should not be heading back into danger
And loosing the ball so pathetically from our throw in has been an issue for a while.

We can’t afford any more of these ‘suck it and see’ type signings. We should be backing Levein to bring in one or two Jamie McCart Shaun Rooney Kyle Turner Robbie Deas type signings. Guys playing regularly at a certain standard, who are already fit, raring to go and up to speed. Even a small fee to release them if we can free up some space in the squad(Booth, Crawford, Kucheryavyi or MacPherson out)
Not that he is necessarily of the quality that we need but if Levein in his many trips around Scottish football has seen anything in Jack McMillan at Thistle, it could be the closest thing.
Would Celtic give us Stephen Welsh if guaranteed him 10-15 starts and X number of minutes until end of the season.
Some free agent from England coming in who hasn’t kicked a ball or picked up a club - no thanks!

I’ll be amazed if he doesn’t bring in a big striker. 

I think there have been a couple of goals where it could be argued he might have done better, but on the whole he's been absolutely brilliant. Amazing shot-stopping, comfortable with the ball at his feet, commands the defence. I think he's been our best signing in years.

There are probably 6 teams in the  Championship that are better than 6 teams in Premierxhip.

First half was total Industrial hoofball from two sides devoid of knowledge of the beautiful game.
For thr first 10 minutes of the second half we were a lot better, with a focus on keeping the ball on the deck. 
Clark and Phillips were brilliant. Workrate and intelligent passes were key. 
Liam Gordon continues to give me the absolute FEAR. 
We deserved the win today.  A massive psychological boost ahead of a tough December. We were not at our best, but with Avril's astute knowledge and wisdom, I cannot now see us being 12th come the end of the season.  A decent appointment.
Thought the fans were absolutely fantastic today.
For all the part-timers out there (plenty) ...please come home...we need you and you need us.
