Motherwell v Saints, 9 Dec 2023

Yet another gigantic game for us on the horizon. Motherwell seem to be in a real slump at the moment and really we should have taken three points off them at McDiarmid a few weeks ago. Win this one and we'll go three points ahead of them and won't be far off Top 6. Lose and it'll feel like going right back to Square One in the relegation battle.

Hopefully Sprangler starts and I think we need a change up front too (not sure if that would be someone partnering DJ, or Kane starting on his own).

Not convinced the wing-back system is working for us either but I suspect Levein might spring another couple of surprises on us with his line-up. Park-the-bus and hope for a goal seems to be very much the strategy at the moment.

Really hope Clark is fit as that could completely change how we play.

Brown.   Smith. Phillips.  Robinson

If all fit would be my starting eleven

Doubt if Clark will be ready so move Smith forward and play Spangler.

Think Levein will keep Brown at RWB as he in more defensive than DJ who is probably the only other option for that position.

Kane's missed header in the last minute of the half, thought that was going in.

It would have been good to grab the lead right before half time.

Just a bit too strong a cross from DJ.

Apart from that, not much if we're being honest.

Motherwell seemed to have more attacking intent but I notice they've not had a shot on target.

We've had one.
