That was awful, just awful.   Embarrassment all over the pitch.  3 wins from 18, the club needs an overhaul from the top down, sooner rather than later.

Can’t remember when I last witnessed such an awful performance. No structure, no pace, no skill. What in gods name was Levein and his sidekick doing to prepare the team for this winnable game? How can he stand and watch a team that is devoid of fight, structure and know how be systematically dismantled by a team that are average at best….. and wait for an hour before taking any action. Only Mitov performed as expected, Wright and May showed desire and made a bit of a difference, Connor Smith ? …. Sent on for 30 minutes…..as in previous games showed exactly why he was playing in some crap team down south… is this what Levein genuinely believes will help the team survive relegation.
last hope is that the team picks something up away from home because they simply are incapable of playing on the front foot. Frankly this team and management do not deserve to stay up…… if we somehow survive the only hope is that there are new owners on board who are watching this mess and act decisively both in terms of getting rid of the management team and the bulk of the squad.

He can't play for us until the transfer window opens, so no.
Today was one of the most pathetic performances I've ever seen from a Saints team. Zero heart or fight on the pitch or from the manager. Just a shell of a team praying others fail.

So DFC has just posted accounts that show -£6.5m shareholders funds as at May 23 - and projected to get worse in the period to May 24.  Ongoing operations unsustainable and key shareholders have had to commit to injecting more funds to keep the business going. Seems to me as DFC technically insolvent as a going concern and the ultimate owners are aiming to plough capital in to a new stadium and non football infrastructure in the hope that they’ll recoup the outlay over time from non football activity. There’s risk and madness - think it’s the latter!
If the new ground / commercial ventures don’t proceed the games a bogey and administration will be just round the corner
interesting parallel to be drawn with our situation. Cash in bank and sitting on a substantial land asset - but the land asset can only be realised by relocating the stadium and how would any excess funds be reinvested to support football activities and increase non football revenue. Brown won’t dispose of the business unless he secures guarantees on the land and what would happen on its disposal. If he were 20 years younger he would know how to manage this and that would have a sustainable football club at its core.  What investor out there would hold the same values and not have a focus on a financial return. ? Therein lies the conundrum that Brown faces - legacy is important to him but time is against him.Hopefully he finds the right answer !!!!

To an extent I agree with you. don’t know about ITC but DFC has been mismanaged for years notwithstanding going into administration and changed ownership. There is nothing to suggest that the current owners are putting long term sustainability at the heart of their strategy. With a start point of a large deficit in S/Holder funds, how do they realistically expect to recover that situation and generate an acceptable return on capital from the new stadium venture while maintaining a competitive football business? They will bail out if the new ground does not go ahead. either way the future for that club is pretty bleak.

our position is different - a relatively strong balance sheet with significant cash reserves and sitting on a vary valuable land asset. The problem is identifying a new owner with the interest of the club at heart and the skills to leverage the financial strengths the club benefits from and the development opportunities that exist. Relegation will certainly weaken our position but wouldn’t necessarily be fatal.

I have given Craig Levein and his sidekick the benefit of the doubt until now. It is clear to me that he / they are displaying pathological behaviours that are resulting in this squad performing far below its collective capability.

There is no doubt that we are bereft of any width (save for the injury prone Wright). It was obvious that this was the case from the day Levein took over but he failed to recruit to at least attempt to resolve.  Kimpioga and Sidibi may get us out of jail but without supply this is doubtful. Prioritising the signing of Connor Smith just makes no sense given the central midfield options and he is yet to show any ability to create opportunities. Sprangler now clearly behind C Smith and Kucheravyi in the pecking order - what?
There has to be an urgent change in approach or we sleepwalk into relegation.
What’s wrong with reinstating May with Clarke and playing Kimpioga wide? What’s wrong with  playing May as a number 10 with Sidibi / Clarke or Kimpioga up front.  Robinson and Gallagher clearly are unable to play as creative wing backs and the jury is out on Keltjens. The go to back three lacks pace and prone to bombscares. Move to a back four now and at least try and make use of the pace that now exists to give width, stretch defences and give forwards at least a glimmer of hope of seeing a penalty box chance.

For god sake - release the shackles and try something different that gives at least a reasonable chance of picking up points.

    Over and out!

Pains me to say it but McLean and coaching staff need removed now. He was dealt a bad hand but was presumably integral to the squad overhaul despite the fact he had no managerial experience. McLean talk a good game but has simply failed to deliver -whether its recruitment or coaching he has failed. We are almost a third of the way through the season - not even looking like we can win and of course the League Cup was a disaster. Pointless him criticising and threatening players ( that in itself show an serious lack of man management skills given that he cannot change personnel until we are half way through the season), everything points to either they don’t want to play for him, tactics and team selection are wrong or the squad is simply not good enough. My guess is it’s a combination of all of this. At the end of the day the manger and coaches are responsible and to give any hope of avoiding relegation, changes need to happen NOW.
What we need is for Geoff Brown preferably or whoever controls the Club to make a clear communication on how the Club plans to resolve the current situation and the timeline for action. As a season ticket holder ( along with my family) it is simply unacceptable that underperformance on so many fronts has persisted for so long.

If WAPers agree or otherwise please respond as appropriate. I suppose this is the start of a campaign to give our Club at least a chance to get back to where it can be.
