Like most I come on here and moan and groan when it is not going well. I also have an opinion on what is wrong with the team and best way to fix it. By having a season ticket I therefore believe I am entitled to voice my opinion. The majority of opinion is in agreement. Our squad is to light especially up front. McLean was always going to be a risk wth his history of injury. May was sold and Kane put out on loan. You do not need to be a master tactition to realise our priority at the start of the season was a striker. But TW was not given the money to spend. He was given two loan players Graham and Morgan. In my opinion central defence was our other weak spot with our aging cental defenders. Tam has done well here but his injury has highlighted our lack of cover. In the midfield we have a glut of players but in my opinion thre is too much chopping and changing for them to play constantly as a team. In a previous post I used O'Halloran as an example. He played the majority of games at the tail end of last season and was playing to a good standard eg Celtic game won a penalty and scored. This season not played to consecutive 90 mins but still 1 goal and an assist. TW has now got us use the players at his disposal. I belive his best formation is 4411. The back 4 almost pick themselves only possible decission is to play McKay cental or full back. Midifield here is where we have anabundance of players take your pick. My 2 defencive players with Brown out is Midge and McDonald but they play defencive. Wide attacking I would play O'Halloran and Lappin (Spoony needs a rest) they must be allowed to attack with defencive secondary not theother way round. Yesterday last 20 mins they were allowed to do so. Front two pick themselves as we only have two. Graham linking and Morgan up front. I would play this for at least 3 games with no unnecessary changes. War and Peace over but feel better now that I have had my say. TW is in a no win situation.

Are you sayingTW brings in players before he knows their qualities and potential? It would be very stupid to loan or sign a player not knowing his capabilities. TW obviously believes he is a better striker than Kane otherwise why would he be here?

People or person who displayed Palestinian flag at Euro match will ensure UEFA keep a close eye on Saints from now on, at future Euro ties, and any future flares or pitch invasion (however small) will likely incur severe monetary penalty I would assume! Whatever your political viewpoint, Neither Palestinian nor Israel flag have any place at McD!

I like Dunne all teams need some steel in the middle of the park. Yes I agree he has been inconsistent and his distribution has left a lot to be desired but we need his tackling and determination in the middle of the park, it takes all sorts to make a team. I remember a statement made by Paul Lambert when he signed for Celtic, he was asked
'playing in Germany for Dortmund did it make you a better player'
    he replied
'no it made me realize I was not a player, I was a ball winner and gave it to the football players'
    Dunne is our ball winner

It's good that something like this exists, but I guess that it just seems a bit odd that there's no real transparency, and that it all seems to be very hush hush and secretive - hence the nickname I guess.

If there's a group out there representing the fans' voice directly to the club, then surely it would make sense for the fans to know a bit more about it? Who the people are, how they are selected/appointed etc etc. It can hardly be a very representative fans group if only the members and their pals know much about it.

I have read with interest the posts regarding Brown, Caddis and Kane. Questions asked; Are they good enough and are they old enough.

Having watched them I have come to these conclusions:

Kane should be loaned out where he would get more experience at a lower level and play regularly this would help him to develop physically and as a goal scorer. I feel the quality of defenders he will face in the Premiership may be at this time too good for him and he would struggle to get goals.

Caddis is raw talent and again I believe he is not ready for first team football. He too should be loaned out where he also would get regular football and continue to learn his trade. This additional year on loan would greatly assist his development.

Brown I believe is ready to get his chance in the first team squad. Ideally he would be used against the bottom six teams this would allow him to develop and give him confidence to progress to this level. In my opinion he would struggle against the better and old heads in the midfield of Celtic, Aberdeen etc.

However this is not and ideal world and at this moment in time we need all three to supplement our inadequate squad. Kane will play occasionally and he will be the player we will look to come off the bench and change the game up front, when we are behind or seeking a victory. Caddis will be in the same boat as the box to box midfielder who will be exposed by the quality of players he will be playing against. Brown will find himself starting the majority of games and could suffer a lack of confidence when his youth and inexperience is exposed against the better teams in the league.

Like most this is my opinion and hope I am proved wrong and all three light up the Premier league this season.

My story is regarding our grandfather Bertram Sampson who was born 17 Jan 1886 in Perth Scotland, and died 23 April 1917 in the Battle of Arras, France & Flanders. His regiment was the 1st/7th Black Watch (Royal Highlanders). The Battalion suffered heavy casualties, 25 other ranks killed and 123 wounded. In 1916 Bertram was sent home on Compassionate Leave as he sustained a "shrapnel wound" to his neck, he recovered and was sent back to fight once again, but sadly was K.I.A. leaving a wife and six children. Before he enlisted Bertram was a professional football player with the local team St Johnstone, in the centre half back position. His registration with the Scottish Football Assoc. was dated 14th May 1907, at the age of 21. From the age of 16 he was an avid football player, and played with many local junior teams. The St Johnstone team lost eight of their players in the First World War. Our grandfather Bertram is mentioned quite extensively in the very rare copy of the "Official St Johnstone FC History from 1886-1997", along with his grandson (my brother Brian Sampson} who also played professional football for St Johnstone, our local team. Bertram is buried in the Brown's Copse Cemetery, Roeux, France.

Guys, we're being asked to turn everything off and sit in the dark just to have a wee think for 1 minute at 11pm tonight.

Imagine being 18 years old, with a rare bird at home, everything in front of you. And then you have to climb out of a rat-infested trench and get machine-gunned to death because some blokes in suits had an argument. These pieces of lead usually hit at stomach or thigh level. With no hope of medical support, you bled to death, or died in agony from infection in a hospital.

    And still it goes on.

    11pm. Turn the lights off.
