The Mystery Man
STV showing the Arsenal game instead of the Celtic v Ajax game. What's that all about? The Arsenal game will be a better game than the Celtic game
TheYellowBox
Is it not something to do with the contract with uefa. Sure itv buy the rights and then stv buy from them. I think that way Celtic get a larger share of the money. Could be (and probably am) wrong. Edited October 22, 2013 by TheYellowBox
Steve McQueen
Stv used to have a country option but now have to go with what the itv netweork chooses.

garydavidson
Is it not usually sky for their home games and itv/stv/bbc for away games?

fazman1977
no. A tuesday champions league game is always on "terrestrial" TV (even though Sky show all of them). Usually it's regional - i.e. a Scottish team will be shown in Scotland. Budget probably didn't cover screening a separate game from the English ITV though so the Arsenal game was shown. And they got beat. Is it not usually sky for their home games and itv/stv/bbc for away games?
That Bar Toilet Attendant
Stv only have themselves to blame. Itv would pay for the option of opting out of their game which meant historically Stv could show any Scottish Champions League game. But Stv in their wisdom started a fight with Itv and dropped FA Cup games & England Internationals. So the first thing Itv did was stop paying for the additional opt out rights. Well done Stv, smart move!
