monkfish
What rag does everyone read and why? I don't get a paper everyday, but if I do get one it's normally the Grauniad, as for me it's mostly reasonably in between the loony left of the Independant and the Sun for grown ups that the Times is at the moment. Jamie_Beatson
I read every paper every day at work, but if I was going out to buy them just for reading purposes I'd get the Mail and the Sun.
Steve Maskrey
I read every paper every day at work, but if I was going out to buy them just for reading purposes I'd get the Mail and the Sun. Do you actually get round to doing any work after you've read all the papers?

Jamie_Beatson
Do you actually get round to doing any work after you've read all the papers? Only usually takes me about half an hour. Really just scanning them rather than reading them in depth! I do occasionally do some work (allegedly).

StDuncM
Yorkshire Post. Get the Sunday Post but only for sentimental reasons. Decorates on the coffee table for a few days and then gets chucked out, usually unread.

monkfish
Out of interest, why do Mail readers read the Mail? You can get proper news in a decent paper or less serious stuff in the Sun etc., why bother reading the Mail? I'm always too scared to ask incase they report me for being an immigrant commie pinko. monkfish
Quality paper, you commie pinko immigrant Thanks Adolf It gets pulled up for dodgy practices and making things up all the time. I'm not having a go, I'm just genuinely interested why people do read it?
Dave H
none, should have added this is an option. many publishers have free infromation on the internet, similar content to newspaper. the internet is more ccessible for me so this is my source for news. that and the tv. I am also of the Scotsman circulation dropping over the years, and more local the PA numbers have been reducing. Times are a changing, no longer a requirement for newspapers i guess.... internet on your mobile phone. Although you cannae beat a good read of a newspaper, not a rag

Dave H
i cant understand folk that take a paper for a read when they are going for a dump. I have never tried to understand people, in actual fact never even crossed my mind next poll should be to dump with or without reading material and also what paper is best suited for emergency toilet paper (tearing ability, ink rub etc)
henryhallsdanceband
I'm working away from home and live in a hotel 3-4 nights a week. So I 'read' Sun, Express, D Mail (ALL crap), and the Times. I get D Telegraph to my room in the morning as I'm a bit of a leftie and I need a bit of right of centre stuff. But the DT sport is good. As is the Times. And I read the Herald and Glasgow South and Eastwood Extra (well you did ask) on-line. Oh yes - and the Oban Times :-) Come on the Saints - all the way unbeaten to the end of the season.
